Ahhh, I think the media is going to throw the medical professionals under the bus and try to dodge any accountability.

Like most people following the news back when the pandemic started, The Seeker initially believed that the virus had jumped from wild animals to humans at a Wuhan wet market. (On March 27 he tweeted, "Nobody wants to see their parents or grandma and grandpa die over a stupid virus from an exotic animal market.") He believed this because that's what the mainstream press told him, and the mainstream press believed it because that is what a handful of scientists had said.

Respiratory illness has actually become even more prevalent in the past two weeks, and I'm busier with sick babies and toddlers than I've ever been in June. Parents are having trouble understanding why all their kids have RSV, croup, bronchiolitis, etc just in time for family beach vacation. It's quite crazy seeing the unforseen epidemiological and immunity effects of our social experiment firsthand. Then I hear of this novel avian flu, and I get a little pucker factor for later this summer. . .

I certainly haven’t read through all of them. But I’ve read those that are being used by media to both praise and condemn him. I do believe he worked tirelessly to benefit American citizens. I think he was truly doing what he thought was best to mitigate harm to our country. However, he clearly also had information and interests he was trying to protect.

Reading through a little and seeing some commentary, Fauci now has everyone hating him on the "mask issue:"

One side has been reminding people all along that years of research have demonstrated that cloth and surgical masks are essentially useless against viruses, as doctors would have all told you until March of last year. Now we see that Fauci himself understood and believed that, but he obviously caved to political pressure.

The other side worships the mask and has adopted it the false idol of salvation. They are furious that he initially "lied" about the ineffectiveness of their beloved Protector.

Has anything been released that suggests he might have considered that the virus originated and was released from/escaped a Chinese lab? That would certainly blow some minds.

Based on your updates, it seems like the COVID problem was terrible in the school system because they couldn’t get the janitors to consistently show up for work.

Why hasn't any of our so called specialist expanded on therapeutics instead of vaccines only. Ivermectin will eventually be the end of all of this, if egos and profits will get out of the way.

My wife's work is mandating the vaccine. She doesn't want to get it because she's still nursing and the CDC's guidance is basically "we have no data on nursing women but it's probably fine good luck". I told her to ask for a medical exemption, she talked to the director and he said to send an email to "HR", which is just an address that routes to my wife's email. Gigabrain.

I remember we talked about this early on when this thing was kicking up and as things started to ease off. Its almost like if people used their brains instead of caving to fear we would be much better off.

Surgical procedures... not routine daily functions.

I don’t go to a doctor often, but I don’t ever recall a doc wearing a mask for an in-office visit prior to the pandemic.

I would imagine in surgery it's to prevent large droplets, saliva etc from entering an open wound.

Still don't remember any of my doctors doing it. And only time my dentists wore a mask is when they were actually in my mouth working. Once the work was done, they were pulling them down or taking them off.

Do you know how small a virus is? These flimsy face coverings we have are like throwing a grain of rice at a chain link fence. The virus can still get through even if you block a few droplets.

Surgery is typically performed in a sterile environment. Precautions are taken for the patients sake since you are opening the skin.
