Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Exactly, its part of my frustration with this stuff, a lot of places and people are citing the numbers without actually understanding their meaning.
You give to the benefit of doubt and assume these are just honest errors in analyzing data. I think they are cherrypicking data to make the situation appear to be more dire than it actually is. If using percentages works in their benefit, they'll do that. If using whole numbers does it, fine.

I said this the other day, and I still feel this way, we are going to be going through this for 4 years unless people finally say F it. Its the only way Biden can somewhat stay in the seat, if he actually had to budget, en act programs and do all the other junk the pres usually does, we would be screwed.
On the other note, There are about 10-12 of us in the department where I now work, 8 are moms and they are all pissed at the idea of virtual again. Most have said their kids are pissed about it as well.

If it were just me I wouldn’t care that much. But having to raise a kid through this is ridiculous. In the beginning I understood, but with how things are now this is infuriating.

I'd think we'd be seeing way more severe vaccinated infections if that were the case. But I'm no immunologist.
The reason I ask is a friend was instructed to wait on the vaccine since they’ve had Covid, specifically to the point that it would undo natural immunity. No idea if this is correct. But, a few months ago we didn’t know hunk that fully vaccinated people could spread the virus.

How are you feeling?

To clarify on the post-infection vaccine timing: there is some concern that people recently recovered from infection could have more severe immune reactions. We know that infection confers immunity, just not certain how long it will last. I've heard some recommendations to wait 3-6 months.

I have a friend that got Covid, had symptoms, and then got the vaccine within days of feeling better. She wound up feeling awful for several days. Her husband didn't get sick and had no reaction to the vaccine.

I've heard that same story many times.

I was trying to clarify that the vaccine shouldn't "undo" immunity. I can't imagine any immunological explanation for that.

Texas Democrat Border County Judge Signs Disaster Declaration for Migrants, COVID

A Texas Democratic county judge issued a disaster declaration due to the “substantial” number of migrants, including those with COVID-19, who are released into his community by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The same politician previously opposed a related disaster declaration by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, claiming the region was not at crisis levels to justify the move.
