These potential side effects are well worth the study, but the EMA has also said they are so rare that there is no need to change the labeling or distribution of the vaccines at this time (which indicates a p value far below the 0.01 threshold for medical approval).

Anecdotally, I have a former student who has now experienced four months of nausea after being the second dose of the Moderna vaccine. His case is currently being studied as well.

33 here. Not vaxxed. Just got over covid. Took about a week. Not in my best shape at 217 lbs and 5'10 but I've only gone down in weight by exercising and cutting soda over the last two years.

Still can't taste or smell but that's the only lingering part.

I probably still won't get the vaccine.

EL and madvol are gonna be sad that I didn't die or need any treatments though.

If someone steals your car and runs someone over with it, should you be held responsible?

That's a horrificly bad analogy.

First, a car has utility besides use of force. Second, if you negligently allow a car to be stolen there is not remotely the same level of certainty it will be used for criminal activity as if you negligently allow a gun to be stolen.

Issue is foreseeability. It is reasonably foreseeable that a gun stolen form you will be used in criminal activity and cause injury. Because a car has so many other uses on a routine basis, it being stolen does not so inevitably lead to injury to others.

I think it's an appropriate comparison when someone starts with the "it's just a piece of cloth" argument. In 1939 nobody thought "just a piece of cloth" would end up marking millions for death.

Hmmm. Isn't this more of an argument that we should be wearing better masks than none at all? And with that, I readily agree. Cloth masks were at one point a necessity. Now everyone can get a real (N95, KN95, etc) mask.
