Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

You want to see propaganda? This is it. Watch the nurses video in the link. Duval County, FL as a whole has had 36 deaths since June 30th, with a rolling 7 day average high of 5 on 7/27. Meanwhile their 7 day rolling average on cases on the same day was 15,815. That means 0.03% of the cases were ending in death and the other 99.97% don’t. Today their rolling 7 day average for cases is 24,126 and their 7 day rolling average for deaths is 0. She speaks and cries as if they’re dropping like flies on her watch. The daily high for death was 9 in the whole county, how many were in her hospital on her shift?

Florida ICU Nurse on Surge in COVID Among the Unvaccinated: 'Why Won't You Save Yourself?'
I read her comments. They may have a high count, I don’t know. We have our only covid pt who was recently taken off isolation couldn’t take the shot because she has severe RA. The “nurse manager” failed to include that are valid reasons not to have the vaccine in her statements. This nurse manager sounds a little unhinged having nightmares about pts. Experienced ICU RNs do not take their work home with them. If she does she has failed at one of the basic things you learn in your first year of nursing. Once you clock out you take that coat off and hang it up till you return. It is a survival technique or we would constantly be in grief overload.
I consider her statements on the same level of dancing nurses during covid.

Texas officials Bus UNTESTED Migrants all over state at cost of $8G per day: report

Busloads of migrant families have been dropped off in Dallas, Austin and Houston from overwhelmed border cities

Officials in Texas border cities overwhelmed by the number of arriving migrants are sending busloads of migrants to other cities across the state without testing them for the COVID-19 in a desperate attempt to alleviate overcrowding, according to reports.

Border Patrol in the Rio Grande Valley has been transferring migrants to the border city of Laredo, which in turn has sent several busloads of untested migrants north to Dallas, Austin and Houston, Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz told Border Report.

While working my way through college at a hospital, I was amazed at how ICU aways was almost full, and how easy it was to move a patient to a "monitoring" floor if a accident came in. It was a private hospital and now I know it was maximizing revenue. How many of the patients in hospitals today would have been told to stay home last summer until they were sicker?

Not sure the last time I saw a news article refer to $8K as $8G

I think you fail to understand I don’t need a politician to protect me. The moment you assume a .gov entity can do anything correct you have already lost.
Guess that explains why we see so many "state of nature" countries just crushing it. Total libertarian paradises, like Somalia a few years ago.

This is false. Nearly all have underlying conditions. And per several friends in those ICUs here in Jax, it's not unmanageable. Most are sent home and some are scheduled for those infusions a day or two later as an OP and that includes the ones that are very obese, diabetic, etc.
How long is it going to take for people to stop believing the fake news media?

This is normal in healthcare. Travel nurses are used literally all the time
It is the reason we have staffing issues. Every hospital in our area has staffing issues. The $ is talking and nurses are listening. They are now taking Rn from icu with only 1 year experience. 2 years was required before covid.
Tbh I was bored to death with travel because I could not use any skills I had that required higher training. I was being offered 8g a week to go to Atlanta. What staff nurses wouldn’t bite at that? Staff nurses are underpaid. Was recently texted an offer by my manager for triple pay to come in that night. Hospitals have morphed travel nurses into a standard instead of the exception. If they invested more into their employees travel nurses would become the exception again. We had an average of 6 travel nurses on nights in every hospital I traveled to. That’s 18g for 1 week as opposed to 8.2g for a staff nurse. You all wonder why healthcare is so expensive? Admin put themselves in this position by making their goal productivity numbers instead of happy employees. A well staffed unit provides the best health care, not productivity numbers.

So the media is not telling the whole story again... shocking.

DHS Dropped 40,000 COVID-19-POSITIVE Migrants in US Cities: Ex-border chief

The nation’s former border chief reported today that the Biden administration has placed some 40,000 illegal immigrants infected with the coronavirus into American cities.

“At least — that’s conservative,” former acting Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection Mark Morgan told Secrets this afternoon.

In an earlier Zoom briefing, Morgan estimated that about 270,000 illegal immigrants have been released into the United States since President Joe Biden took office and signaled to Latin America that the border is open again, as it was under former President Barack Obama.

But Morgan said that the border crisis is far different than others before it because of the continued virus spread in the world and the failure by the Department of Homeland Security to test all those it is shipping off to cities.

And Venezuela is your socialist paradise. See how dumb this exercise is?

God, you guys suck at argumentation.

The claim contested was that no government entity can do anything correct ("The moment you assume a .gov entity can do anything correct you have already lost"). This entails that a governmentless country, such as Somalia in the recent past, should be at least as good as, or better than, ANY country with a functioning government. To prove that wrong, I only need to show ONE country with a government that is preferable to Somalia. I don't need to show that EVERY country with a government is preferable to Somalia.

I know at Erlanger they've combined a ****** admin environment with canning a bunch of nurses, and now they're short staffed and can't get anyone to come work. What a shock. People in employment circles talk, no one is going to take a job at a place that's awful to work at even if the pay is better. Meanwhile the board is giving the CEO a bonus based off of "increased revenue" that includes a ton of fed money for Covid. Lol.
