Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Don't know how much the feds are paying per vaccine, but it's a helluva lot less than they're paying for the unvaxxed who get covid and get hospitalized. Those costs ultimately come back to all taxpayers. So if you want to pay LESS in taxes and believe in PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, which all card carrying members of the GOP believed in pre-Trump, you should want a tax on non-vaxxers if it leads them to get vaxxed and avoid those massive hospitalization costs that you'd ultimately have to pay for.
They can tax us for not taking it as long as we can sue them and their partners for any side effects https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/16/covid-vaccine-side-effects-compensation-lawsuit.html

Uhhhh, I have medical insurance because I work. And even when I have had bouts of not working i still pay for a plan with savings...Lulz

Now do the illegals.

Doesn't matter if you got insurance. Presumably, you (or your employer) would prefer lower insurance premiums to higher insurance premiums, no?

Biden’s border disaster is Key to Texas’ COVID Crisis

Immigration-and-Customs-Enforcement.jpg

More than 80 percent of migrants are unvaccinated, per Immigration and Customs Enforcement data. As Betsy McCaughey noted in these pages, “The vaccination rates in Honduras and Guatemala, the countries of origin for most border crossers, are less than 1 percent.”

Protect yourself from the unvaccinated migrants and get vaccinated.

No, using my philosophy, I would want feds out of healthcare. Read harder.

I feel for you NGV, but try working in a union plant where everyone makes good money, it doesn't guarantee quality and you can't fire anyone.
Thankfully we don’t have unions. Lilreb did work at a union shop for years. Hard to get rid of the bad ones. In nursing it’s not so hard. Neglect of duty can be easily proven. Sitting on a phone with Uber eats for 3 hours while your pts ventilator is alarming and his sedative has run out twice is easy to document. Neglecting a pt like that is inexcusable.

You just contradicted yourself. I just go with the flow of whatever I can sis

Someone is paying the bill for hospitalizations. If its the feds, the costs will be dispersed across society through the form of higher taxes. If its the insurer, the costs will be dispersed across the pool of the insured through higher premiums.

Just think how much they are saving on those with natural immunity who don’t need the vaccine...

Now then why not the concern for millions of ilegals that do not have ANY medical insurance. Yep, you and I pay for it thru our premiums and taxes.
No skin in game, there is no pain.

How much does lost productivity from a case of natural immunity inducing COVID cost society? Less output, less tax revenue, etc. Do you really wanna make your argument?

Is society/economy better off with our without COVID? What's the cheapest way to get rid of or minimize the effects of COVID?

Well we've spent trillions doing it the stupid way, your way. Not so cheap.

Can anyone show me where adding a fee to a restaurant bill is directly defraying costs on covid pts? I took care of 4 heart attack pts and 2 strokes in the last week. I can promise you they aren’t being untreated.
Several problems with this article.
I like that the author assures us this won't affect poor people. Apparently poor people don't eat at restaurants, travel, pay for insurance, or play high school sports. Today I learned.
