Did you read the article you posted? He would have been a COVID patient. His treatment was not an elective procedure. The treatment he got was an elective procedure. He had no symptoms.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced new moves Monday to fight the coronavirus pandemic as it rages again in Texas, including asking hospitals to again put off certain elective procedures to free up space for COVID-19 patients.
Instead, Abbott announced he had written to the Texas Hospital Association asking hospitals to "voluntarily postpone medical procedures for which delay will not result in loss of life or a deterioration in the patient’s condition." As coronavirus was consuming the state last summer, Abbott took a more restrictive approach and banned elective surgeries in over 100 counties before ending the prohibition in September.
To be fair on that.. people were forced to stay home and gyms were closed. It has been 18 months. From the very beginning, it was known that this attacked largely the elderly and the obese. Yet surveys have shown that most adults have gained weight during Covid instead of lost weight. Where is the outrage? Why is everything directed toward the vaccine? Where is the PSA to go out and exercise, stop eating fast food, etc.? Why are people not complaining that obese people are putting a strain on healthcare?
Understand where I come from. If they are so zealous to push experimental vaccines, it makes no sense to the average person why they wouldn't be just as eager to open up other options that some doctors are showing to have some success with. The coordinated effort to silence these other doctors is also a red flag. No free and open flow of information or dialogue. Only "fact checks", witch hunting and deplatforming.I understand and sympathize with where you're coming from. I was there at one point.
We have to consider the possibility that there is no global conspiracy to hide information about alternative medications. The most reputable hospitals in the world with the longest research credentials and the highest positive health outcomes for their patients would be all over treatments that would keep people out of their ICUs.
That the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Oschner Foundation, and Cedars Sinai aren't loading their patients up with these prophylactics should send a strong message to those wondering about the efficacy of prophylactics. My doctor at the Cleveland Clinic put me on 5000IUs of Vitamin D and told me to carry around hand sanitizer, that's it. That's knowing I'm immunocompromised.
I understand your frustration. I really do. But I don't think things are as nefarious as you believe they are. Sometimes reality is just disappointing.
Meh, besides these guys whining about athletes taking a knee, what have the oathbreakers and "patriots" here done to defend the institutions and freedoms that their flag represents?Thugs in uniform. This is a danger of having an unarmed citizenry.
Pharmaceutical companies make money off of generics all the time. If you think they won’t raise prices then look at what happened with dexamethasone and also with plaquenil earlier on in the pandemic.HCQ and Ivermectin are generic so there is no money it them for the pharmaceutical companies.
I mean when has saving people's lives been more important then money flow...insulin is how much more then Naloxone..one saves diabetes the other mainly save drugs addicts....now out of the 2 drug companies will make more money from drug addicts...its all about the cheddar...Exactly. Don’t understand why drug companies would want to hide drugs that could work. If tomorrow it was announced that the fda was granting eua status for ivermectin the price of the drug would skyrocket. These drug companies make a killing already off of many generic drugs and ivermectin would be no different. It wouldn’t hurt any of these companies. Vaccines would still be recommended to almost everyone like they are now. Remdesivir would still be given to hospitalized patients and same with other drugs with EUAs for covid. Also if there was a conspiracy by drug companies to not have cheap drugs be used against covid then they failed because dexamethasone and other steroids are first line treatment for severe disease.

Dexamethasone price has increased 137% in recent months
Plus you’ll initially have a shortage of these life saving meds for other medical conditions like you saw with plaquenil. A shortage of ivermectin will lead to many deaths around the world from strongyliodiasis which affects around 50 -100 million people worldwide. So there is some harm to pushing some of these repurposed drugs for covid without clear medical evidence.
I honestly don’t know how you can sing the words of the National Anthem with a straight face today.Meh, besides these guys whining about athletes taking a knee, what have the oathbreakers and "patriots" here done to defend the institutions and freedoms that their flag represents?
I'm afraid that these guys are not going to pop off a single shot until it is far too late... if ever. They will be the first ones here in the US handing over their guns to their buddies in blue.
Part of me thinks this is a spoof, but there is that other part of me that has lived through the last 18 months that thinks this is real... WOW.
Canine resistance.I sat across a conference table (about 3 feet) on Thursday and half a day friday from a friend who has covid. He has symptoms and a positive test. Neither he nor I wore masks. He didn't talk much. I washed my hands frequently. I do not have any symptoms.
So far: SIL tested positive for antibodies without symptoms while living in my home, son had covid with symptoms, and my friend in close proximity in a conference room. I wonder if I am just lucky or if something else is in play.
