Before I like this define obese. I want to make sure I’m not included. It has been 18 months. From the very beginning, it was known that this attacked largely the elderly and the obese. Yet surveys have shown that most adults have gained weight during Covid instead of lost weight. Where is the outrage? Why is everything directed toward the vaccine? Where is the PSA to go out and exercise, stop eating fast food, etc.? Why are people not complaining that obese people are putting a strain on healthcare?
Why won't this virus learn to respect freedumb! Must be a socialist virus.
We have a guy at work that is probably in that range or perhaps higher. We had a ice cream social and he had a huge bowl of ice cream maxed to the tits with toppings. I thought there’s a man who flips off God every morning. We have 1 covid pt who was just made a dnr. BMI 60. People in the elevator ask my why the hospital is so busy. “ well, it’s not covid “ they physically looked relieved.
I didn’t mention the 4 overdoses, 2 dying from cancer, 5 people found down and unresponsive from not taking medications. So glad we saved so many from covid so I could take care of the fallout.
That’s because your doc at the Cleveland Clinic knows there’s literally nothing they can do to make you better. Once you get the virus you just treat the symptoms, do the same things you do with the common cold (rest, fluids, vitamins), and hopefully fight it off.I understand and sympathize with where you're coming from. I was there at one point.
We have to consider the possibility that there is no global conspiracy to hide information about alternative medications. The most reputable hospitals in the world with the longest research credentials and the highest positive health outcomes for their patients would be all over treatments that would keep people out of their ICUs.
That the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Oschner Foundation, and Cedars Sinai aren't loading their patients up with these prophylactics should send a strong message to those wondering about the efficacy of prophylactics. My doctor at the Cleveland Clinic put me on 5000IUs of Vitamin D and told me to carry around hand sanitizer, that's it. That's knowing I'm immunocompromised.
I understand your frustration. I really do. But I don't think things are as nefarious as you believe they are. Sometimes reality is just disappointing.

I worked through it. Granted, my job isn’t as physical as that of a garbage person, if that’s what he is. Now it just say so happened mine started on a Friday and I did work that whole day even though I was feeling worse and worse as the day went on. Had the next day been a weekday I probably would’ve missed work but just that one day.I know this guy who works for a waste management company. They told their employees if they get sick they have to come in and work anyway. WTF!! We are in the grips of a pandemic! Are we going to pull our ER I V lines out and head on in to work? I can’t fathom this.
I think essential workers were given a pass on having to quarantine last go around.I know this guy who works for a waste management company. Think abut the germs and nonsense those guys work in everyday and tell me you think COVID is a big deal.I know this guy who works for a waste management company. That's actually entirely untrue. As a higher-risk patient, monoclonal antibody given early in the course will significantly reduce his chance of serious illness, hospitalization, and death. There are other treatments being used by hospitals (here in the U.S., contrary to what the media might lead you to believe), including the oft-maligned ivermectin, with some success. That’s because your doc at the Cleveland Clinic knows there’s literally nothing they can do to make you better. There is no reason why a high risk patient shouldn’t get Regeneron as soon as possible. Covenant Health stopped their orders of it and has to send patients to UT. Did we learn nothing from the last surge? I just shake my head when they talk about ICUs being full. I am fifty and have a normal BMI. Blount Memorial called me with my test results and I was on a Regeneron IV the next morning. Two weeks later I’m doing my high intensity interval training with no issues. That's actually entirely untrue. I spent almost a month in the hospital with COVID. Got Regeneron for 5 days, felt amazing after 3, and went home. Covenant couldn’t have done it because those idiots cancelled their supply.
I've discussed this with a local ER director and, in turn, the Covenant medical director. I basically told them they are killing people by not using the hell out of it. Prob 3/4 of the patients coming into the ER that test + are candidates for MAb.There is no reason why a high risk patient shouldn’t get Regeneron as soon as possible. I'm convinced early treatments of budesonide via nebulizer kept me out of the hospitalThat's actually entirely untrue. Fair. Perhaps I worded it poorly. Even what you said though is treating the symptoms of the virus. They can’t do anything about the virus itself. It has to run its course. That's actually entirely untrue. It's actually an antibody that directly binds to the virus, neutralizing it and preventing entry into cells (and thus, replication).Fair. Perhaps I worded it poorly.
