If a 3rd booster shot is needed after getting 2 shots a few months earlier, will that mean a 4th shot will be needed in december?
It will never stop. My fear is that these "vaccines"/therapeutics are weakening our immune system with each successive jab. At that point, our bodies will be dependent on the quarterly vaccines.

I'm sharing something outside of my regular comfort zone. It's a blog post from a Christian theoretical physicist who homeschools his kids and has a healthy issue with authority. In short, he's no expert and never claims to be.

A Minimal Case for COVID vaccination

Please consider reading it. I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on what he has to say.

So basically what you're saying is that covid will always be one step ahead? We create a vaccine for the current variant and by the time we implement it another variant is already emerged where the current vaccine isn't all that effective.
Not at all. The current vaccine has held up well against many different variants. It's not as good against delta and delta happens to be one of the more easily spread variants. This thing will constantly evolve. Sometimes the vaccines will be great and sometimes just ok. In this instance it's ok.

No. I'm saying a piss poor attempt at a gotcha comment was a piss poor attempt at a gotcha comment.

But there’s a vaccine. Last summer should’ve been the worst ever especially since 60% of the population is vaccinated. Are you saying the vaccine is pointless and ineffective?
There are two issues in play:
1. The new strain is significantly more transmissible.
2. Vaccine-induced antibodies are not as effective at neutralizing the mutated spike protein.

Too many vaccinated folks getting it for me to believe that. Is it helping to reduce systems, I'm still on the fence. This virus is always going to be one step ahead. Not sure it ever goes away. I'm fully vaccinated and not an antivaxer but I have my doubts about it's effectiveness. The numbers early on were saying still in the 90% range for moderna and Pfizer, now there in the 70%s?

I didn't say that. I will say the only person who is allowed to put words in my mouth is my wife.

It was a reasonable inference since you're statement was that we didn't have delta last year. We also didn't have vaccines last summer. We do this summer and we have delta.

The great majority of doctors and nurses are pro-vaccine & already vaccinated. A small, loud, ignorant minority have been listening to the looney anti-vax propaganda that’s trying to get us all killed. They have to be fired, before they get patients killed.

They ask in the screening questions. I’m not suggesting they are fixing the results. I just thought it was a most improbable observation. I even asked her if she just started. She worked through the entire pandemic.
Next time tell her you are 'vaccinated'. What an interesting little experiment.

And now.... More "looney anti-vax propaganda" brought to you by the Trumptards at the BBC:

Is catching Covid now better than more vaccine?

Where have we heard much of this before???
Seems that the article cited is pro-vaccination of all adults. The article states this in the last section.

“Where does this leave the balance between more vaccine and virus?
There is clear evidence that adults who have not had any vaccine dose will have stronger immune defences if they do get vaccinated, even if they have caught Covid before.”

Children may be a different story but seems like the main argument of the article is whether we need to continue boosting till eternity adults when the vaccines continue to show durability in preventing hospitalization in the majority of adults. Some of the experts interview suggest infection provides broad immunity but none state that those previously infected should avoid immunization. Dr Riley who is cited as stating that natural infection may provide broader protection to variants still recommends that everyone should still vaccinated. Here is her answering that question earlier this year.
Expert explains if you should get Covid vaccine if you've already had Covid-19
