I should have clarified in my post exactly what I was responding to, re: spurious correlation that the vaccine apparently prompted the delta variant.

I should not have assumed that by the old days, you meant what was done in the old days.

It’s ok you have to show proof of vaccination to get in… but people are still forced to wear masks because the vaccination causes asymptomatic carriers with high viral loads… but they’re outdoors so it’s ok… but they’re packed in like sardines…but they showed proof of vaccination!

This picture is going to be my reply anytime someone tries to argue that elementary schoolchildren should be wearing masks.

Comparing apples and oranges. Those people were able to protect themselves by getting vaccinated which was required to get into the concert. Elementary schoolchildren are not able to get vaccinated yet.
