Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I’d say the kid’s PCP is the best judgment on something like that and a good PCP will be much more credible than some guidelines.

What I don’t know is, does insurance tie in any way to CDC guidelines? Do the approvals by insurance from a referral rely on any way on something like the CDC changing these guidelines?
I have never been asked for evidence of the lack of meeting CDC developmental milestones to justify a referral. A diagnosis code of developmental/speech delay is sufficient, based on my interview and exam.

So we are flying charters out of China bringing the Olympic athletes home. Yesterday I flew a turn from Seoul to Beijing and back to pick up 210 of them. We flew an empty airplane over and they got on. But.... first they made us put on face shields, gloves and an N95 mask and get off the airplane so they could 'disinfect' it. It took 2 hours and the bus was probably a Chinese knock off and the heater didn't work very well. It was 30 degrees outside. Every. single. person that we saw had on those Tyvek jumpsuits, boots taped at the ankles... gloves and masks/goggles/face shields. It is like the entire country has turned into a Michael Crichton story. It's creepy, and imho, ridiculous and unnecessary.

And that is what lefty wants here. Not the worthless garb, but the government with the power to force it on us...

Let's go Brandon!

Edit: It wasn't the team that made us put on that crap. It was the Chinese government. In re-reading my post I see it could have been construed as the team made us do that.

Aren’t milestones subjective with a wide range of variability anyway?

There is a wide range of what is considered normal. Not really "subjective" though.
I guess I didn’t mean the standards for what constitutes a milestone, rather the age standards for milestones were subjective. I recall being taught to “never panic” when a child falls outside a standard, rather keep an eye on them for trends.

So, yeah, the data on the 18-45 y/o population being withheld due to concerns of it being "misinterpreted" is a bit concerning.
Comrade please, we can't have you thinking what you you assumed months ago was possibly true. It could scramble your tiny brain and lead to even more dangerous thoughts. The science is settled. Trust us.

So here is what was behind that pay wall -

When the CDC released data on the effectiveness of boosters for adults younger than 65 two weeks ago, it did not include full numbers on those between 18 and 49.

That data showed the booster shots were least likely to benefit younger adults because two shots of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson, already left them well protected.

CDC withholding COVID data over fears of misinterpretation

@kiddiedoc @Bassmaster_Vol

Wait wait wait. Their release covering adults was just 50+?
I just post links, man

But seriously it looks like not ALL data for under 50 was reported.

CDC said they didn’t want the general public to “misinterpret” the data. That’s why they withheld it. Allegedly.

I wonder why we don't have good data on young adults and children previously infected with CV19 (certainly a majority, at this point) and how they compare to those taking shots.
