We have two. DOE and FBI. 4 who disagree. The broader point is the many who suggested it was a lab leak were called racists and cooks. And now here we are.

Ok, let's be specific. Who was called a racist or a kook and by whom?

See, this is what you want to do -- represent that all in the leftist media termed everyone who believed in the lab leak thesis as crazy. Not so. Even Fauci said credible people were making an argument to that effect.

Its when you have nutjobTrumpflag Joe Bob tweeting its a Chinese plot and citing some other person's tweet as proof -- then having that repeated by some other blog as having some sort of valid science behind it, that people were (rightfully) called kooks.

I never did throw shade, I said I did not know they had any responsibility in this area. I started the discussion today based on the fact that so many on here (and surely on Fox right now) are ignoring ALL THE OTHER agencies or scientific establishments with reasonable pedigrees that say it was a natural mutation.

I do not pretend to know the actual objectively correct answer. But i do think it fair to say that this DOE report is not nearly what you want to represent it to be.

But I know you just can't help yourselves.

How does anyone think it possibly came from anywhere but the lab? You posted about lack of critical thinking last year when rejecting the lab leak theory. It's very simple. The virus came from Wuhan. There is a lab in Wuhan that studies these exact viruses. In all the places on Earth that the virus could occur in nature, you actually think it happened in the same city where the lab is located? At a wet market just down the street? Seriously? The odds of this are almost 0. Sometimes, no matter how many times Dr Fauci lies to you, the truth is right there in front of you and not really that hard to figure out. My suspicion is that you and a lot of other Democrats can't accept the lab leak explanation because Trump said it early on and Fauci rejected it.

It's crazy. I can't remember which comedian it was joking about a chocolate spill in Hershey, Pennsylvania and people couldn't figure out where it might have come from.
