COVID Mask Mandates Return in California, Illinois, New York
He was Anthony Fauci’s boss. He describes perfectly my biggest problem with the pandemic response….there were medical decisions being made by “public health” officials that never or seldom had to perform any risk-benefit analysis of the treatment. In fact, most of these types go into non-clinical medicine precisely because they are incapable or adverse to making those risk-benefit analyses.Well, I guess I give him some credit (some) for saying this. But he appears to be (or gives off the vibe of being) a left-leaning liberal... the same type of person that 30+ years ago would have defended Luther Campbell's right to say "Pop that p*ssy" and "Me So Horny". So we could have that conversation, but I am sure that he and his kind were ready to shut down any speech that went against the lockdown/mask mandate/vaccine mandate narrative. And I also bet that he was a big supporter of "my body, my choice" before C-19.
Now I could be completely wrong about this guy because I don't know who it is or where he came from, I guess my point is that we should not be too willing to have these people forget the damage they have done.
And then, there are those of us who actually have cared for thousands of patients with CV19 who are discredited and mocked because their experience and clinical expertise differs from that of the pencil pushers/money grabbers. He was Anthony Fauci’s boss. It's not an apples to apples comparison. The flu vaccine is supposed to protect you from certain strains. The Covid vax is not even advertised as such. They clearly say that you may still get sick but it won't be as bad. What does "as bad" mean? Sure sounds like a farce to meNot really. People that get a yearly flu shot sometimes still get the flu...
I got the original series and (I believe) two boosters after that, but I unfortunately haven't gotten the latest COVID booster. I usually get my flu and COVID shots before my annual fall trip to NYC, but I failed last year. What's your vax status?
When I had it about a year and a half ago I felt really bad for about 72 hrs. Aches, fever, congestion...followed by loss of taste for about a week. I got it again this past summer and it was nothing. Didn't miss a beat. No time off work. I can't remember when my last vax was. Maybe Fall of 2021. I'm done with the vaccines unless they can come up with one that keeps me from getting infected. I'm fine with my natural immunity.I got the original series and (I believe) two boosters after that, but I unfortunately haven't gotten the latest COVID booster. I'm being a bit dramatic, because it's not like I had to go to the hospital, but it was still an unfortunate way to end 2023 and start 2024.
