I remember the stories saying they have just recently visited Wuhan so my guess would be Chinese Americans visiting for the Chinese new year.

I know its early but it would be very interesting if they found out it only infects people with Chinese DNA. You'd know for sure it was engineered then.

Here's the thing I don't get; WTF kind of person wouldn't quarantine themselves if they thought there was ANY chance they could expose their loved ones (nevermind others, or possibly just getting oneself diagnosed for that matter) to something like this?

I also think this is a different scenario than most interpretations of "personal freedom" because the whole idea of "intent" is off the table. Arguably the whole idea of quarantine isn't about the person at all but rather the infection. It's what has always given me the heebee jebees about bugs. Though not sentient they have a type of volition and purpose and have no concept of friend, foe or negotiation. So are we really talking freedom of people or freedom for a possibly lethal pathogen?

It's a rapid identification kit, like they have for influenza A. Polymerase chain reaction is what it stands for.

My question is, are there laws that protect people's jobs if they are forced to be quarantined? A lot of jobs barely give even 1 week of vacation, I can imagine a lot of jobs can't afford to have there employees gone for 2 weeks.

You think an employer wants someone possibly infected to show up? I think a quarantine is a legit excuse not to go to work. I'm sure you'd have to provide verification from a dr you were quarantined or suspected.

Can’t verify, but seeing blurbs that crematoriums in Wuhan are each handling between 60 to 100+ bodies per day and there are multiple crematoriums in Wuhan. There was a photo out a few days ago supposedly showing the back of a crematorium in Wuhan with about 10 trash bins overflowing with the yellow body bags. (Sure makes ya wonder what the real death totals are.)

Speculation is out there that Chinese travelers are flying out of Hong Kong to avoid the ramifications associated with a mainland China departure city.

Blurbs are out there showing that even though Hong Kong is saying they have closed borders the crossing points left open are the major points of entry for mainlanders into HK.

CCP is bragging about the quantity of medical supplies and testing kits that are being manufactured and distributed, yet stories are still leaking out about folks that can’t get tested and medical personnel not having safety gear.

in America currently, the protocol is ONLY those who have been to China must sign in and agreed to be observed but are being allowed to work in hospitals as normal
