In luther’s dictatorial world people know “I’m getting locked up” if I get get on that plane so some sneak by to avoid being quarantined. So instead of getting tested, getting the information and giving themselves and the authorities the opportunity to monitor them they put even more people at risk.

You would be surprised how many more people will do the right thing when they are just given the opportunity instead of being forced at the end of a gun.

I would self quarantine in a heartbeat. 2 weeks off, home with lilreb, a staycation... Yay!!!

China has tested their own people and found they are positive for past exposure to viruses from bats and many other animals. They just aren't very virulent viruses.
This one's different. It's very virulent and Ive seen enough to say I think it's bioengineered. JMO.
Antibiotics are curative for bacteria until they aren't. They mutate and become resistant. We go to the next gen antibiotic that will kill the specific defense the bacteria developed. We are on some 6th generation cephalosporins in rare cases. We do have people dying from being resistant to everything but it's rare.

The immune system has multiple ways to attack invaders, unfortunately the average diet often doesn't keep the immune system at its peak. I see people everyday who don't eat right and take much longer to heal and recover from illness.

Here's the thing I don't get; WTF kind of person wouldn't quarantine themselves if they thought there was ANY chance they could expose their loved ones (nevermind others, or possibly just getting oneself diagnosed for that matter) to something like this?

I also think this is a different scenario than most interpretations of "personal freedom" because the whole idea of "intent" is off the table. Arguably the whole idea of quarantine isn't about the person at all but rather the infection. It's what has always given me the heebee jebees about bugs. Though not sentient they have a type of volition and purpose and have no concept of friend, foe or negotiation. So are we really talking freedom of people or freedom for a possibly lethal pathogen?

There is always that small contingent that would buy into a conspiracy theory: that they will be mistreated, they they will be experimented upon, that they are worse off getting treatment. We see it with immunization shots, not surprising we see it with a scary new virus.

You’re right they won’t get on the plane, they will find another way to get back into the country. A way that the authorities don’t know that they are here, what’s they are doing, how to get in contact with them ext.

Bad side effects with immunizations is not a conspiracy theory it's a fact. I've treated 2 Guillian Barre that directly resulted from flu shots.

There used to be a place on Alcoa highway at the airport that had a sandwich called the "gut bomb". It had all of these ingredients plus a couple of fried eggs. I tried to eat one once when I was in my 20's and couldn't get half of it down.
