What? You're saying Rick Pitino and John Calipari didn't/don't perfectly reflect the culture and ethos of the average Kentucky fan? Silliness.100% correct. The last coach was a Jewish guy from Boston that was previously coaching in Milwaukee. Concerns about "cultural fit" usually come up after the fact when a coach wasn't successful.
Some outstanding rebuttals.
I love especially the explanation of the recruiting prowess of a smurf who is less of a cultural fit than Jerry Green.
Pitino (especially pre waitress abortion) and Calipari are in another UNIVERSE from Lawrence Frank in recruiting prowess, winning the press conference and being a cultural chameleon. Both of those guys at one point were attractive.
You guys may enjoy getting wasted with Frank, but he would be a big time failure as head basketball coach at UT. It would be a delight to show you how wrong you are, but I could not stand to watch the program that I love suffer as he failed to bring in good players and converted the ones we still had to a snorefest like he had with O'Neill.
