Legalization of weed in TN

I believe drug use is a choice but addiction is not. Marijuana can be addictive and to say it is not flies in the face of science

Literally everything can be habit forming. To put marijuana in the same league of physical addiction with the likes of anything beyond Snickers flies in the face of science and puts you in a categorical level of ignunt.

Unfortunately weed will eventually be legalized and the huge corporations will control the market just like cigs and alcohol and the medical and social costs will exponentially skyrocket. If there's money to be made the government and industry don't give 2 hoots in hell about the human damage. I watched it almost ruin my sons life.

All due respect but facts don't take your feelings into account. Marijuana didn't ruin your kid's life.

Though you're right, poor decisions are at the heart of the matter. It does remind me of the Bammer Paradox.

Are bammers chodes because they love the tide, or do they love the tide because they're chodes?

Who can be certain?

Doctors say otherwise

I’m sure it can be for some people, but not all people. I knew guys that seemed like they needed it to function, and others that smoked occasionally just to relax.
I don’t disagree. But it is an addictive drug and can lead to other drug use. And it does have negative physical consequences for people

I'd be skeptical of anything the feds publish with regard to marijuana at this point. Schedule 1 drugs are supposed to have no medical use and a high likelihood for abuse. A lot more people around here are dying and ruining their lives due to prescription opioid and meth abuse (both schedule 2 drugs) than marijuana. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone dying from marijuana abuse.

Did you know that those opioid and meth abusers still use marijuana at about a 70-75% rate?
