Les Miles to Michigan? (Merged)

If Michigan is serious about hiring Les Miles, then they must just be looking at his record on paper and not actually watching any of the games he coaches. The man is an idiot savant. He's probably the perfect guy to take over an already stocked team in a fantastic recruiting area, but it's really impossible to imagine him actually building a team up from scratch. Miles's basic strategy is a lot like Fulmer's was back in the day: have vastly better talent than the other guy, roll the ball out on the field, and clap like hell.

Now that's funny!:loco:

you might debate the methods but you can not debate the results... he wins.. 5-1 in bowl games 4- 11 win seasons in 6 years. He gets results.

Coaches lie all day and everyday in these situations. I would not be surprised if Les Miles has been talking to Michigan for the last two years on a daily basis...haha.

Michigan may have had no contact with Miles, but they have certainly had contact with his agent. Just like Tenneessee, I am sure they will only officially offer the job to one guy - and that will be the guy who they hire.

"LSU is great and UM is great also. The difference in the two is really a non issue as I have no issues. I love them both and hope that the issues that they both have are not issues that become issues in the future. I really want to think about the thoughts that I'm thinking and think some more. There is no place that I would rather be but I cant think of a better place to be"

Ha. I could actually see him saying this in a future press conference.

no way Jimbo leaves for LSU. he's got a sweet deal there with recruiting, and if they play their cards right they cold very well be contenders in the next few years. Not to mention the wait he went through Bobby, no way he gives that up to go back to LSU. Now if Bobby were still coaching at FSU......different story.

Bo Pelini is a much more likely candidate, his relationship is very shaky with Nebraska's AD

With the class they have coming in and combine that with the talent they already have Les would be crazy to leave.

The hot name today actually isn't Les Miles, of all people it's Jon Gruden.

I heard the same thing off of a bunch of people on twitter and then LSUFreek tweeted that Russell Shepard told a reports that Les Miles reassured the team he would be back at LSU....

Not sure what is going on, but all these rumors are getting annoying.

Trust me, You don't want Les Miles :stop: Your Michigan, You can do better

Nothing against you ZW, but ya'll gotta just love a plane tracking thread :) I wonder what tigerdroppings has going on over there. What clues are being dropped? Oak trees anyone?

Haha I just saw it on Twitter and clicked on it. Thought I'd pass it along. I remember the post-Fulmer/pre-Kiffin days of the flight tracking.

I bet tigerdroppings is going nuts right now...

its going to take a couple days, but Michigan can't afford to miss on Les Miles. They will throw everything they have at him.

Will LSU match?

not if they think they can get Bo Pelini or Jimbo Fisher.

I don't understand why Bo Pelini would leave Nebraska. Same for Jimbo FSU and VT are pretty much the best teams in the ACC right now.
