Let’s talk about Will Brooks

The QB threw it right to him. Because of Josephs.

He looked just like Evan Berry streaking down the sideline with the ball though.
Brooks put himself in position by reading the QB and he made the right call.

And he juked a supposed athletic QB.
Evan Berry indeed!

Crucial play

I'm very glad he got the pick six, but watch the replay again. He abandoned a receiver that was wide open in the endzone that could have easily been six for NCST.

Maybe he had an exceptional read on the QB's eyes when he chose to jump to the other receiver, but it looked like he was very fortunate not to give up a TD.

I don’t think he was responsible for that guy, it looks like we were in a zone and he was a robber type player coming down to play the curl to flat

If you diagnose more into that play you will see the back side safety was there for support.

Will read the QBs intention and got right in the path.
That’s instincts and knowing your opponents abilities. McCall couldn’t have pumped and reset in time.

Reminded me of Darren Miller's pick six against Iowa in the Meadowlands at the Kickoff Classic in 1987 and that long run to the end zone, big defensive play in a unique non conference made for television game. GBO.

You're all seeing something different than I am... he was wide open running torward the endzone, with the ball still in the QB's hands.

That clearly wasn't his assignment
