Well first off, I don't believe for a second that China went to Iran about anything. Second, I don't believe the Houthis would stop even if Tehran tried to talk to them. And third, this entire story reads like a BS fabrication...

The discussions about the attacks and trade between China and Iran took place at several recent meetings in Beijing and Tehran, the Iranian sources said, declining to provide details about when they took place or who attended.

Fine dont believe it. Anybody that would not think China or Russia would play power politics, commit heinous atrocities, go on conquests, subvert and install their own regimes, etc, is as delusional as anything ever said on this forum.

What incentive would China have to lift a finger in this particular situation? The Chinese shipping isn't being threatened by the Houthis and the US/Uk are being humiliated in the process.

And again, re-read the article. It is a steaming pile of feces with unknown sources making the allegations.

Nothing is stopping Chinese shipping from going through the Red Sea corridor.

For Chinese businessman Han Changming, disruptions to Red Sea freight are threatening the survival of his trading company in the eastern province of Fujian.

Han, who exports Chinese-made cars to Africa and imports off-road vehicles from Europe, told Reuters the cost of shipping a container to Europe had surged to roughly $7,000 from $3,000 in December, when Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi movement escalated attacks on shipping.

The simple solution for Han is to carry those higher costs on to the European customers. Also, is Mr. Han getting his insurance from a Western agency or from an ingidenous Chinese shipping agency? I would think that the only risk that Chinese exporters would face in the Red Sea would not come from Yemen, but from a US/UK false flag. Now in that case, then yes... that plays right into the hands of the Western countries and may be a point of leverage.The US/UK sinks a ship and blames it on the Houthis... then that in turn is supposed to force the Chinese to talk to Iran, who is in turn supposed to talk to the Houthis, who in turn will stop enforcing sanctions on the Israelis.

When NATO is arming Ukraine, "we are not participants of the conflict"
When Iran (allegedly) and North Korea (allegedly) send arms to Russia, "They are participating in the conflict"

US and Uk arm and support Israel: Perfectly fine
Iran arms Houthis, Hezbollah and Hamas (allegedly): Financing terrorism

The US is supporting Ukraine against a military invasion of it's country with weapons to be used against it's opponents military.

Iran has Houthi's attacking civilians and soft targets in international waters.

One thing this comment illustrates is that even you have reached the conclusion that the United States is incapable of achieving a diplomatic solution, so we must rely on the Chinese. The United States does not have diplomats.

To compare 9/11 to the March to the Sea by Sherman where cities like ATL, Savannah, and Columbia, SC were burned to the ground, Dresden, Hamberg, Tokyo, London, Aleppo, Palmyra, Kabul, etc.. to 9/11 is ridicuous.
