Man I love the gray unis, dare I say I like them better than are home and away. With that said they should be a tradition to wear once a year. I need to get me a gray jersey. Oh and for all you blue hairs I love Tennessee on the front of the away jerseys. Sorry tradition changed :( all though it really didn't

The grey uniforms were awesome. Matching helmets would only make them better. I loved the black ones as well. I hope Butch incorporates them both in more games.

LOL! There must be something wrong with me. Even my family wanted more gray uni games! I cant help it. I don't want to see them for more than one game a year. I have always thought our uni combos were some of the best in college football. Why change something that looks so good? I'm giving the gray one game a year. I understand completely that many people like them. But, that is not UT football.

You need to worry less about being the fashion police and more about the smash mouth football that we finally saw last night.

The thing is...this isn't change. Tennessee used to wear black and grey uniforms back in the beginning years of program. Respect the traditions, both old and new.....They looked sharp and a great way of remembering those older teams that first made a name for Tennessee Football.

It's not change at all, if anything it's honoring our deep tradition. Which is why ignorant people like the OP kill me. " this ain't us" even though we've worn gray jerseys before

I'll admit I was thrown off a bit on which one was Tennessee on a play or two.

I agree. I'm not saying they looked bad. I'm just saying that our orange and white combo looks better. Even the storm trooper and white on orange road uni's look better.

Not a big fan of alt jerseys, but I like them. Once a year, maybe twice for a mid tier bowl.

That's not us guys. The replays and still photos of the UGA game irk me just a little. I have no problem with using the Gray uni once a year but no more than that. We are orange and white. That's our brand. And, yes i know that our performance on the field is what is most important. Flame away :machgun:

Yes they are us and part of our colors and has been for a long time. They look great and even more important the guys wearing them love them.

I like the gray and nobody can say it didn't add some much needed swagger. Next time we need to go with gray armor helmets.

Swagger? Not unless there's something else floating around in those pants.

That was the most discombobulated and mismatched set of colors and designs I've seen a team sport in some time. This mishmash checking and patterns? Pointless nonsense.

I liked the smokey uniforms. I do not think the white helmet looked good at all with them. An Orange or smokey helmet would make them sharp.

Not true, they matched very well outside of the helmet. You wanna see bad, unmatching uniforms look at Maryland. I watched the game with some Bammers, Gators and AU fans and all thought they looked great. Most importantly the players loved them and that's all that truely matters, but they looked great, just wish they could find a way to do something with the helmets for the one gsme a yr we wear alternates.

UT is selling the brand to 18-22 old kids----colors and shiny things are what they like. Yes it's arbitrary and vain but so are 18-22 year old males. Friggen amazing how adults get caught up in an alternate uniform. If it nets us a top recruiting class I don't care if you take a dump in tinfoil and call it the UT hat as long as we get talent here at the university.
