Limit the gray uni

I loved them! Loved the look and it was still respecting our heritage!
I would like to see a combination with orange top and gray pants and gray top with orange pants. I loved how the Smokey grey made the orange and white bling. Loved the orange and white stripe down the pants.

I also like how black has been done away with . Bringing excitement and staying ahead of the fashion football world.

Alabama says hi, and wishes to remind you that they've had no trouble recruiting all while looking indistinguishable from how the did 50 years ago.

If you like the gray that's certainly your prerogative, but to say we have to wear stuff like that to keep up in recruiting is just not grounded in anything factual. With the right recruiters it is possible to be successful while staying true to who you are at the same time.
So are you saying we should be like Bama!!!

Because if that's right then I want to be wrong!!!!!

Buck fama!!

No, just offering an obvious example to refute the absurd notion some people cling to that we have to come up with new uniforms in order to keep up in recruiting. It's simply not true.

I loved them but only one time a year. I think they need to break out a chrome helmet with them next year.

I like them. I won't cry about it if I never see them again, but I do like them.

That's not us guys. The replays and still photos of the UGA game irk me just a little. I have no problem with using the Gray uni once a year but no more than that. We are orange and white. That's our brand. And, yes i know that our performance on the field is what is most important. Flame away :machgun:

I don't care what color the uniforms are. We are the Vols no matter what. The gray was bad A.

Those 50 recruits didn't show up because of the new uni's. They aren't gonna sign the dotted line because of them either. Butch Jones and UT tradition has gotten us this far with these recruits.

Tell that to the ducks. The uniforms drew recruits before the wins. Now the wins draw em in. Let's do anything to get the recruits and then wins will keep them coming.

You don't think Chip Kelly and Mike Belloti had anything to do with that? One really really good coach, and the other was a winner.

I said the uni brought started the trend. Belloti said it best, the uniforms are one hell of a recruiting tool. Young men love the style.

I'm not saying lose the orange and white, that would be stupid. Why not add to the tradition. New is not always bad.

The uni's probably did help Oregon a little bit. You will never get me to believe that good coaching and a winning program wasn't the main draw though.

This is true. I just really like our traditional uni's head and shoulders more than the smokey's. Like i said, I can stand a once a year alternate.

Of course, I did not mean to say they sucked prior to the wins. The ducks have had a great program for a while. I remember the ugly yellow and dark green.

LOL, I will show my age. When did we start playing that god awful rap music [reminds me of minor league baseball minus the kids running the bases]. This was the 1st game I watched from outside the skybox in a few years. Also, looks like they raised the quality and selection of food since I last sat in the stadium.

The greys look just like pajamas. Once a year is too much. Thank God they are on the shelf for the rest of this year.

I liked the uniforms. It was cool and good for a little swagger. Bring on the all whites!

Recruits will come because of the Neyland experience many saw last night.

Liked them a lot and would love to see a matching helmet, but I'm sure Butch wanted to wait before he changed the helmet

I wasn't there but I heard Neyland was absolutely rockin yesterday! Keep being competitive and the homefield advantage will be back!

Very true. I had an absolute blast. My daughter got to experience the "Real" Neyland stadium. She was so excited to hear how loud and excited the crowd was.

Neyland got it's second wind.
