Not flaming, but thought it was said they would only be used once a year. I did like them. Neyland was rocking for a change!!

I thought the grey was a nice change, and looked better than most "alternative"type uni's. Personally I think they would look better with a little more orange included.... e.g. either mixing with orange pants, or grey pants with orange jerseys... and then alternating the under sleeves to counter the jersey color.

OMG!!! I have been a Vols fan for over 30 years and I loved the gray uniforms. They were sharp!!! It doesnt hurt nothing to alter our uniforms a couple times a year. A Black out around Halloween would be AWSOME!!!! Everyone knows we are Orange and White.

I say we rock the smokey grey tops with orange pants, smokey gray socks.........

those new uni's are hot...tradition or not. :rock:

I for one LOVED the gray and can't wait to see what the alternate uni looks like next year.

Great post. The ones saying its not tradition or part of our scheme needs to read up some more. Coach Jones isnt going to stray from our tradition or do anything to disrespect or piss off the former players or fanbase. The uniforms looked great. My only complaint, and it really isn't a complaint is that I wish for the onetime we wear those a year that they would change the helmet to match. They could still keep the Orange Power T and do something to closely match the uniforms. But really no big deal at all, they looked great and the players obviously loved them. Hopefully they can get used again in a bowl game.

You could have stopped here....but I really think drinking is not enough to unjam what has been stuck up your chute. Herb is gonna have to be called in....and I can't make promises that will unstick it either.

First of all, the gray uniforms are growing on me. However, I agree w/ the original post - limit it to one game, maybe two at most in my opinion.

Secondly, your response and all the "likes" it got are evidence of the youth trolling this board. You kids today act like brats when someone disagrees w/ your view. All you have to offer is some force-feeding comment like "get over it." Absent is the need for intellect in your ill-fated attempt at a retort.

The smokey gray unis looked great! I do think they would look much nicer with the orange pants! Wearing them one or maybe twice a year would keep them unique and novel! Go Vols!

You can't change up grey like you can with orange and white. Grey isn't like orange or white. The grey tops only look right with the grey bottoms. Any other combination looks like a mismatch.

nobody bleeds orange and white more than me, but leave it alone. the grey uniform was great. i was at the "black" jersy game against SC and it was awesome also. I love the orange and white and the power T, but those grey would have looked much better with either grey or black helmet with power T.
