Lindsey Nelson Stadium,

I did catch Ben McKee mention on 247's fall ball podcast (good listen if you want a fall recap) sounded like they were flying steel around during some of the scrimmages he was at in the last week or so.

Maybe we'll start to see some stuff rising soon.

Stopped by on Saturday morning to take a look
There is now steel standing behind the right field side of grandstand.
I can't get inside to look but I'm stunned how little has been done.

I still think the best plan is to play the first part of the season at Covenant or Smokies Stadium. Added benefits of more seating as well. Hell! why not play the entire season at one or both places and allow the contractor more time and space to get it done? They'll have to largely shut down the jobsite once the season begines and add temporary paving, fencing and protections.

I'm anxious to see where the radio and TV people are going to be stuck as I'm not sure they will have a media both in place by mid February.

Covenant Ball Park is clearly further along than LNS.

Just get it done and we'll see it all complete in 2026. Quit Vandy-ing this thing up.

I was over on campus earlier this morning. I couldn’t see anything coming out of the ground on the third base side, but I’m sure they are working. An upper deck is clearly coming out of the ground on the first base side. IMG_6735.jpegIMG_6736.jpegIMG_6734.jpeg

Good pics, thanks. Any idea on Section C and the seats up around the former pressbox?
I couldn’t get a good shot of it from up close simply because of the construction zone, but the old home plate entrance is where you see a dip in the 2 x 4 railing, and I think section C is immediately to the left, behind the tall construction equipment IMG_6749.png

Oh cool. Thanks for the info.

Thanks, no surprise there! That’s always an issue working around existing structures instead of a clean site. Is four months enough time to get it done?
They have 3 months left so I personally don’t think so. The past few months has seen almost perfect weather for construction. I suspect the next 3 months will have weather challenges. I also suspect many items scheduled for phase 1 (25 season) will push into phase 2 (26 season) but hope I’m wrong.
