I have also heard the Busch to DEI thing, but how about this option...

It was reported at Pocono that Greg Biffle's contract talks broke down with Roush. Likewise, we all know Ryan Newman is unhappy at Penske. So how about..

Jr. in the #5
Biffle in the #8
Kyle Busch in the #12 (teaming up with his brother)
Ryan Newman in the #16

(Yes, I know Roush has to be down to 4 teams by '09, but basically I refuse to believe that one of my fav race teams would hire a snotty little twerp like Kyle Busch, so I am overlooking certain facts.)

wow, if you get all of that right I'll consider you the most informative nascar fan alive. I don't think Ryan would leave, but we'll see.

At Pocono, Biffle said he will honor is contract through '08 with Roush. After that he had little to say.

Earnhardt fans saw Jeff Gordon as the pretty boy rookie taking on the Man In Black. Once they saw that Gordon could run with him and not back down from the challenge...they didn't like it.

Between Jeff Gordon, Ricky Craven and Terry Labonte who was peaking at the time. Hendrick Motorsports was basically shat upon by the Earnhardt faithful for being a legit threat to RCR.

only thing that would make this better is if Gordon up and retired at the end of the year and Junior moved into the 24 seat.

I know its trivial and dumb. But to me, a diehard nascar and Earnhardt fan, hating Hendrick and Gordo is part of why i watch.

I watch the Yanks to see them lose. I watch the Pats to see them lose. And so on. Jeff Gordon is a great driver, but i loathe him as a driver. Without the hatred toward Gordo and the nutty loyalty to the Earnhardt name, Nascar would just be another crappy racing league.

This is seriously, as an Earnhardt diehard, like Jesus taking sides with Satan himself. A very very sad f***** day.
