That's perfectly legitimate. I actually have to give you credit for admitting that you hate them "just because" rather than doing like some fans and assigining all sorts of stupid traits to them.

That is part of Nascar. Holy crap you guys can piss me off. Its not like these other sports where calling names or be all P.C. is right. Nascar is about hating drivers and companies and throwing a beer when you feel like it.

honestly, since Jimmie Johnson came along, i have really been indifferent as a whole about Gordon. i still won;t root for him though.

That's what I don't get. People assume that because Jr. will be their teammates that Jr. fans must now like JG and JJ. I won't. I don't care one way or the other for his current teammates.

i think it's absolutely hilarious that all those people out there wearing red shirts and hats at the races, who continually hate Hendrick and anyone associated with his organization are now going to have to root for that team!!! this is great, i love it.

I don't claim to be any kind of reputable source, but do have some friends on the inside of some big teams. What they said was that the only reason he is not signing with Gibbs is the fact that this is the last year of Gibbs manufacturer contract with Chevy. Toyota is courting Gibbs hard and the brass would not promise him they would not sign with Yota. Hendrick has been talking to him and aside from Gibbs is the only one that has been talking to him. He will Be in the 5 car. Kyle has asked out and has been released from his contract. Word is it will be the Busch Brothers in Penske blue. Look for Ryan Newman to leave the 12. Are rumors he will go to the 18 car and that JJ Yehley is going to the 8. There are also speculations a LOT of this will take place soon. Rumors are you will see Junior in the Hendrick car during the 2007 season. TEI denies that but time will tell. So here is what I have been told:

Junior to the Bud #5
Kyle to Penske
JJ Yehley(sp) to DEI
Newman leaves Penske

Wouldn't it be funny if he said he was going to retire effective immediately to pursue his dream of being a profesional online racer. Not that that's really his dream, but he races on there a lot.
