I'm not talking noise,my point was the size of Oregons Stadium, about like Vandy!!There are few college fans in Oregon. What does the other instate team,Oregon State, whats their stadium hold. Both Oregon schools together would not fill Neyland.LOL at Oregon fans,I've been on other football websites and Oregon fans are laughing at Tennessee, saying we're no good.Oregon football should not even be mentioned in the same sentence as Tennessee!!

How old are you?

Question: how many times have the Ducks had to play offense in Autzen with the crowd roaring at 127.5 decibels?

100,000 hostile fans is much worse than 59,000 friendly ones.

From all that I've gathered, and having been to a few games a year at autzen, Oregon and Tennessee are about comparable in terms of on field noise right now. I'm sure tar would be different if our team was doing better but it is what it is ATM.

I always hear complaints about large numbers of complacent fans who complain about others standing an cheering at neyland.

Actually, Death Valley has been recorded as a minor earthquake on a seismograph.

Tiger Stadium was the site of the legendary "Earthquake Game" against Auburn in 1988. LSU won the game, 7-6, when quarterback Tommy Hodson completed a game-winning touchdown pass to running back Eddie Fuller in the waning seconds of the game. The crowd reaction registered as a legitimate earthquake on the seismograph in the Louisiana Geological Survey office on campus.

During the October 6, 2007 game against the University of Florida, CBS recorded 130 decibels, thus making it the second loudest collegiate stadium in history, only behind Husky Stadium in Seattle, Washington.

I was at that game, sitting a couple of rows from the field.

That rinky dink stadium actually holds ~59,500 counting the SRO area on the North side, has been sold out since 1999 and will soon one day be expanded to at least 65k.

And 127.2 decibels is nothing to lightly dismiss. That's louder than a Boeing 747 at take-off--for the best part of three hours in a tight contest since we are on defense more than most.

Why not just come and hear for yourself in 2013?

It's the proximity of the fans to the field that is killer. It sounds as if they are literally on top of you and the sound reverberates from the artificial turf into the canopy and back. The entire stadium is dug into a earthen hillock. There are no energy sapping features like repeated open air tunnels or other gaps. It's a sunken bowl of concrete sunk into the earth that the crowd enters down into from the rim.

There will be none of that going on here...:)

Theirs and Ok States are really vying to be "the best" in the nation. Of course Oregon has Nike Money, and OK State has T Boone. They are both outstanding. I hope Neyland will be rocking like it was in 06 for Cal.

HUH??? What have you been smoking??

This!

And considering the fact that the game will be at night and the fans will have an entire day to "Jack" Daniels themselves up...it's gonna be rowdy and deafening!

Neyland will have to be rocking louder than it has in years if we want to disrupt oregon. Like someone else said, about half our fans act like theres a football game going on, the other half sit down and after opening kick and don't stand back up.

Very classy! Actually, I should be a student there at that time. You've done a great job of making yourself sound like a complete dick.

You live in Knoxville and you're an Oregon fan? Are you from there, or did your parents go to school there? Or did you just pick them because they are pretty good and you think their unis are cool?

I grew up in the 90s with a ton of FSU fans, who were so for no other reason than the fact that Florida State was arguably the best team in the 90s. Its funny, I never hear any of those same guys talking about FSU these days...

What does it hold, over 50,000.That is as small as the SEC's smallest Stadium,Vandy!!LOL at Oregon, they sure are not into college football and very few fans!!

You won't laughing after the pounding we get Saturday. It's time to be humble. We're about to get embarrassed this Saturday.

I'll have to agree with this although I've never been to an Oregon game it's actually is a really cool looking stadium since it's basically dug into the earth. I use to work in Oregon at a hospital a few miles away from the stadium and drove by it every day from my hotel. That stadium is nothing to laugh at. That being said, it's not Neyland Stadium by far.

To bad the game will not be decided by facilities. I would feel a lot better.

Our facilities are awesome but they haven't won us any games. The volume is great and the stadium may be intimidating, but our home record isn't much to brag about, anyone remember Wyoming? We've got to take back Neyland and this week is a great place to start. Overmatched by media statements, two senior receivers probably out, inexperienced team and new coach... could be great.

Our 100,000 errr 96,000 fans are going to rock Oregon just like that last sissy PAC10 team that we beat down last year at Neyland. Oh wait?

Time for a little humility around here IMO.
