Looking at the SEC picture right now

We should move up this week unless the poll somehow decide not to drop UGA and Miami as much as the other teams or if they take the opportunity to pump up BYU and Indiana.

The placement of UGA in relation to Bama this week will be interesting - Bama is the top 2 loss team.

Lose to a really bad Arkansas team and this is where we are at.
While the Arky game sucked we are in an incredible situation for early November. Win our next 3, SEC championship game. Win our next 3, playoffs. Its a crazy year, glad we dropped our game early in the season. We are sitting in a great spot even with the Arkansas loss.

If by chance this ends up with the following teams with 6-2 records (Tennessee, A&M, UGA, Ole Miss, Bama, Missouri, and LSU) then based on 2, A&M would be 2-0 against the "tied" teams" and Bama would be 3-1. #2 becomes a component of who you have played, and Tennessee will have played only 2 of those teams which actually hurts their chances in the tie breaker. It benefits Bama and UGA who will have played 4 of those teams.

It doesn't really make a difference if it is Texas or A&M, Bama will have 3 wins - the best any of the other can do is 2 wins.
Reality...we have to win out.

Sad for us, but true. Vandy beat the #5 team in the conference, whereas Arky only beat the #1 team.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there are days I wish I was as stupid as the person you responded to. Life must just be a nice easy tunnel on rails when you're that dense.

Miami just proved the ACC is very weak and only 1 team from that conference should make the playoffs.

What concerns me is the SEC/Refs will let the Dawgs get away with murder. We will have 4 times the flags they will. The SEC will protect GA at all costs because they feel GA is the SEC's best chance to win a Natty. I have no doubt when we bust a big play on offense, there will be a hold flag thrown on an O-lineman.
Ga is no longer that team.

They have wins over Georgia and LSU and look better than we do at the end of the season. AND they are THE media darling.

The issue with Tennessee is two fold and people are not talking about it.

1. Out of the 8 teams we have beaten, Alabama is the only team with a winning record

2. We just haven't looked good (offensively) in many of those games so the eye test matters. People are still talking about Tennessee being overrated and having a weak offense and I can't blame them. I think our offense is TURNING the Corner but we will see this week. People still look bad at the bad performances against Arkansas and Florida. That Florida OT win is a black mark for the playoff race as well because Florida is not a good team.

The key is that we just got to keep winning. Heupel has built us into a program that wasn't in the discussions to one that competes. Be thankful.

That is exactly what happened at the end of the BYU Utah game last. Utah had them beaten, getting a sack on 4th and 10 (it might have even been a safety) but the powers that be said, we can't have that, and called a tickytacky p.i. to give a first down. SMDH.

Stop with the Arkansas loss already

- Ole Miss lost to Kentucky
- UGA lost to Ole Miss
- A&M lost to Notre Dame
- Notre Dame lost to Northern Illinois
- Bama lost to Vandy
- Vandy lost to Georgia State

I don't know how you expect those outside of the fan base to respect the team when we have fans who don't even respect the team and find anyway possible to put the team down.

It is not even constructive criticism at this point.

There is absolutely NOT a dominant team in the SEC or the NCAA this year.

We are one of the top tier SEC teams this year. We may not be the team some of you want but we are finding ways to win.

That is exactly what happened - got to protect a team when they were clearly outplayed. Sad really.

# 2 also describes UGA and Bama among others at specific times this year. Florida would have beaten UGA had they not lost their QB. Florida is decimated, yet again, by injuries - happens every year, it seems.
