TN should be able to get just about anybody. This is a top 3 job within women's basketball. Don't kid yourself. Knowledgeable coaches and those within the ranks understand how big of an opportunity this would be.

Alabama fired Mike Shula Nov 28,2006 and 38 days later they had Nick Saban signed to a contract.

He hadn't previously been fired as the head coach in a major conference. That is the red flag here and there is just no reason for Tennessee to take this chance.

Yes, but that is entirely different. He had great success at the division II level which carried right on in to his time at Milwaukee after he took them to the sweet 16 in only his fourth season he was clearly a coach on the rise.

Harper hasn't had any significant past success, this was her best season. She has had past failures though. Bruce never did.
