Yep. They are both incredibly stressful jobs, but I'd much rather deal with the NFL stress for the reasons you mentioned. Being a CFB coach would have to feel like you constantly have a bunch of toddlers tugging at your pant leg, wanting you to pick them up and give them attention, and that kind of stuff takes attention away from recruiting and coaching. There is so much off-field crap that a college coach has to deal with.
The NFL seems like more of a "I have to study my ass off and outscheme the other coaches" type of stress.
You mean specifically the job security of Harbaugh at Michigan, or NFL job security generally speaking? The job security is so much better at college though , especially now that Michigan appears to have turned the rivalry with Ohio State and is competing on a high level.
I think there are types who would prefer college just because of the dynamic with players. Urban and Saban didn't seem to know how to navigate that aspect of the NFL job. Easier for them to have an iron fist in college.

I agree if you mean the former, disagree if you mean the latter.
Isn't there a rule that allows a recruit out of his LOI if the coach he signed with leaves like this? Seems like kids who chose him and not Michigan would be able to find a new home before Feb if they're allowed. I know it's not realistic to say choose the school not the coach, but man, I feel for those recruits who signed because of Harbaugh.Yall can hate the transfer portal all you want but this is why we have it. Michigan signed all those guys in December. They will probably have a new coach for Spring and a lot of those guys wanted to play for Harbaugh
I would be disappointed. I think Harbaugh is definitely a good coach but I think he's more cut out for college, I don't really like him, and not sure he's a good fit for the Broncos. Plus I'm holding out hope the Waltons buy Sean Payton.
Owning Ohio State and reaching the playoffs, with a NC appearance will keep the Michigan fans satisfied for a few more seasons. His coaching style and oddball behavior is not compatible with the modern NFL. His 2nd NFL coaching stint will end the same way it did with the 49ers.Don’t know how you come to the conclusion about him being better suited for college. I remember Shannon Sharpe saying his style is perfect for the NFL. And besides, he isn’t going to win a NC.
This is an inaccurate statement. His playoff resume’ reads NFC championship, SB, NFC championship. He was an incredible NFL coach. The front office in SF is impossible, particularly Trent Baalke and Jed York. If there is one other reason Harbaugh left, it was the several domestic abuse/ other alleged scandals that kept emerging among players. He’s a guy who runs a tight ship. He wasn’t doing well with the recurring crimes.Dude is a control freak.

The NFL crazy house is no more crazy, in fact, it might be a smidge less crazy, than the crazy houses at big time CFB schools. CFB booster bases and admin people are probably even more petty and impatient than most NFL owners.Things ended really bad for him in San Francisco. Can't see him wanting to rush back into the NFL crazy house.
