LSU targeting Brian Kelly (per The Athletic)

If you are feeling unsafe in a work environment yet still choose to do something you feel is unsafe just because your boss says to, that is your personal choice…… Kelly didn’t force the kid up on the lift.

If you get killed in a workplace accident, there's a good chance that your boss will be held at least partially liable.

Not if you willingly choose to put yourself in a position where said workplace accident happens…. kid could have easily said no, but didn’t….

Yet the end result everytime Kelly is in the news, “ND’s coach killed a kid”

If that’s the case then it makes zero sense to leave Notre Dame.

Now he’s going to have go through Saban, Smart, & Napier just to get to the playoffs.

ND doesn't have the horses to beat them in a playoff scenario. I am sure he believes it's not his coaching that's gotten him boat raced by Saban. Ego monsters are ego monsters.

Key word here: Kid. You reasonably expect a kid to say no to someone like Brian Kelly? Someone who has a lot of sway and power on campus? It’s not so easy to say no to someone with that much power who probably has say in my future, and I’m 31; so I definitely don’t expect a college student to be able to say no.

Considering the high grades requirements at ND, Brian Kelly is a really good football coach.

Pulling the Notre Dame coach to a 6-6 SEC team....I'm proud of them cajun's.

The kid had a tuition waiver that was dependent upon him working as a videographer for the football team. Do you seriously believe that it was as simple as saying "Nope, not gonna do it,"?

I love blaming the college kid trying to pay tuition on a partial scholarship instead of the multi millionaire boss.

Sorry. A college “kid” aka 20 years old I believe is indeed an adult.

Just saying, that person would be tried in court as an adult and was old enough to make a personal choice to do something safe or do something unsafe.

We can hold college kids over age 18 liable for their choices of rape, drinking, and cheating yet this case is an exception? No thanks. Nothing more than a hit piece against a coach.

Was he wrong to ask the kid to go up in an unsafe situation? Sure. Was he responsible for the kid’s death to the tune he forced him onto the lift? Of course not. No objective jury would ever convict on those grounds.

Butch Jones is the only person that knows how to follow Kelly. Do it Notre Dame, you cowards.

Ah yes, so if it wasn’t Notre Dame and Brian Kelly’s fault why were they fined by the Indiana Occupational Health and Safety Administration for safety violations related to the incident?

Additionally, in response to your first question…. yes. If I was feeling I was being asked to go into an unsafe situation, I would 1000000% make the choice to keeps me safe regardless of who’s asking. I know in today’s world, we are taught to worship celebrities on different types of industries or mediums…. However, my safety comes before the worship.

Just because you get fined for something doesn’t mean you are responsible. If that is the route we are going, OJ didn’t murder his wife and Goldman because the jury didn’t find him guilty….

once again back to my point: Brian Kelly didn’t kill a college kid. No matter how hard these twitter warriors try to push that narrative.

Not to mention that Kelly signed onto the settlement after the parents sued him and the school.

Or he did, no matter how much you want to defend the piece of s***.

Ah so it’s not possible than when Declan was asked to do this, he thought “well it’s incredibly windy and the conditions are more wild than usual but with them asking me to do this they must know the stanchion is safe for me to be up there since this is a multi million dollar program.”

Instead you want to blame a 20 year old trying to make his tuition for allegedly (not that you would even know) hero worshiping Brian Kelly, even though you have no evidence of this?

Congrats, you’ve officially accomplished the worst take I’ve ever seen on this board. Not even Notre Dame fans think this.

I’m just waiting for you to blame Declan Sullivan for not being a meteorologist and knowing what year the stanchion that he fell of was built. Hell you wanna blame him for ruining practice that day while you’re at it?

It has nothing to do with being a Twitter warrior. It has to do with looking at the facts of the case and saying “wow Brian Kelly was negligent and did not take care of Declan Sullivan.”

I’m not blaming anyone. I’m just simply pointing out how dumb the people are who sit and clamor on twitter and social media anytime Kelly is in the news that he “murdered a college student”…..

At the end of the day, he didn’t put a gun to the kid’s head and say get on the lift…. Additionally, you say there is no evidence of hero worshipping yet you’re sitting here saying the kid did exactly that by going along willy nilly with it.

However, sorry you are very upset at Brian Kelly and this whole ordeal. I can only assume you are one of the types on twitter going crazy right now with the “LSU just hired a murderer as head coach”…… i apologize for somewhat rubbing you the wrong way with the idea that a 20 year old shouldn’t be thought of as old enough to make personal choices…. Guess we were just raised different.
