This is where any kind of debate ends…. Why would I claim he was a meteorologist? Makes no sense…..I’m just waiting for you to blame Declan Sullivan for not being a meteorologist and knowing what year the stanchion that he fell of was built. Hell you wanna blame him for ruining practice that day while you’re at it?
It has nothing to do with being a Twitter warrior. It has to do with looking at the facts of the case and saying “wow Brian Kelly was negligent and did not take care of Declan Sullivan.”
He forced the kid to film in unsafe conditions.
When asked about the situation he smirked and started to laugh.
He’s the scum of the earth
Just to lighten this up and somehow manage to link a Twitter for the second time.
"Annie Agar on Twitter: "With the Notre Dame job possibly opening, this might be the second thing to fall into Urban Meyer’s lap this year." / Twitter"
I’m not blaming anyone. I’m just simply pointing out how dumb the people are who sit and clamor on twitter and social media anytime Kelly is in the news that he “murdered a college student”…..
At the end of the day, he didn’t put a gun to the kid’s head and say get on the lift…. Additionally, you say there is no evidence of hero worshipping yet you’re sitting here saying the kid did exactly that by going along willy nilly with it.
However, sorry you are very upset at Brian Kelly and this whole ordeal. I can only assume you are one of the types on twitter going crazy right now with the “LSU just hired a murderer as head coach”…… i apologize for somewhat rubbing you the wrong way with the idea that a 20 year old shouldn’t be thought of as old enough to make personal choices…. Guess we were just raised different.
You literally said “Not if you willingly choose to put yourself in a position where said workplace accident happens…. kid could have easily said no, but didn’t….” That looks like blaming Declan Sullivan to me.
And again, it’s way more likely that Declan Sullivan assumed his bosses knew he would be safe up there and that he would okay. That’s not hero worship that’s putting faith in your bosses they are protecting you which everybody does everyday. Way more likely then “oh my god Brian Kelly I’ll do anything for you” like you’re implying he thought.
And you’re the one going to war for Brian Kelly not me. I’m sorry you’re so offended that I believe bosses should be concerned and help take care of their employees safety. I hope you aren’t in charge of anyone, I’d feel terrible for them since you obviously do not value safety or feel that employers should look after their employees in any way.
Let me guess, you’re the type of guy who when a girl is raped says “well if she hasn’t been drinking” and then say “I’m not saying it’s her fault but…”aren’t you?
Who was responsible for Declan Sullivan's death?
No one, at least not me, is saying he forced the kid up there. But to say the kid should have had the guts to say no is just silly. Furthermore, if you know anything about basic psychological development, you’d know the frontal lobe of the brain—the key decision making portion—isn’t fully developed until roughly 24-25 years old. So to say a that a 20 year old should have the adult mindset to stand up to his/her boss is just silly and proves you know nothing of the real world.Sorry. A college “kid” aka 20 years old I believe is indeed an adult.
Just saying, that person would be tried in court as an adult and was old enough to make a personal choice to do something safe or do something unsafe.
We can hold college kids over age 18 liable for their choices of rape, drinking, and cheating yet this case is an exception? No thanks. Nothing more than a hit piece against a coach.
Was he wrong to ask the kid to go up in an unsafe situation? Sure. Was he responsible for the kid’s death to the tune he forced him onto the lift? Of course not. No objective jury would ever convict on those grounds.
