Really, my favorite thing about Lupe is that he doesn't drink or smoke. The music is great, but he's trying his best to live right.
Actually, he got into some legal trouble before F & L dropped back in 06. Some taped phone calls between him and his record label (1st & 15) partner about dealing heroin were played in court while his partner was on trial. Doesn't necessarily mean he was using, but I wouldn't put it past him. I wouldn't put it past him that he doesn't smoke weed either, it's talked about it in some of his earlier mixtapes.

He's still good in my book.
At least he puts meaning into his songs and you couldn't tell that he's ever been involved with drugs unless you did research on him. Most of the rappers you hear about (like Wayne) talk about drugs 24/7.

True, but I would venture to say that about 90-95% would sell-out in a heartbeat given the chance.
It is man. I'm not joking. Probably the most anticipated album for me in a while and I am just extremely disappointed. There are some songs on there that just scream Atlantic Records and not Lupe. They clearly had a lot of pull when it came to what tracks made up this album.
He has never made a garbage song, much less an entire album. I will hold judgement untill the 8th, when it drops.
The 2 songs that I have heard I love and can't get them out of my head.
