Mack Brown out at Texas

He's two NCs away from tying for the most ever. Where is he more likely to accomplish that?

And he has not done worse than 5th nationally in recruiting since 2008, even when AU won the NC. The class that is currently committed might wind up as one of the greatest since recruiting rankings have been tracked.

He could recruit the same at Texas. That class wont be one of the best ever if they keep losing committs to AU.

Texas has a **** load of talent and Saban will have them rebuilt in 1 season. Texas + Saban would run a train on the rest of the Big 12 and would be an automatic lock every season to make the playoffs. As good as Bama has been, you can't say the same because this is the SEC.

He'll recruit the same or better at Texas and it won't take nearly as much effort as it does at Alabama.

If I were Saban, I would leave. I think Texas is the best job in the country. One you can retire in. Similar to Meyer and OSU

He also wouldn't have to deal with the nut job fans at Texas, you know the ones that poison trees and send death threats to kickers.

Not to mention Austin is a paradise in comparison to Tuscaloosa.

He's at Dallas now - saw him on Thanksgiving during the game - ruined my dinner

I had to pause the TV so I could flip him the bird

I also noticed his exchange of words with one of his receivers at the end of the game. Pretty heated.

If the new playoff had been in place, Bama would have made it 5 of the past 6 years, SEC or not.

You think there won't be pressure to succeed at TX? With his track record? And a contract that would almost certainly exceed anything currently paid out in college or the NFL? Have you ever looked at a Texas message board?

Sure there will be pressure at Texas, just like any other big time school, but Alabama fans have become downright spoiled with Saban's success. You've won back to back national titles and are sitting at 11-1 this year with a Sugar bowl berth, yet players are getting death threats. Not to mention firenicknsaban.com was started up after the Auburn loss.

I don't see that **** happening at Texas if he goes.

firenicksaban.com wasn't started by a Bama fan.

They're not going to allow multiple teams from the same conference into the playoffs. Bama would've been in the playoffs in '09 and '12. That's it.

Either way, my point is that making the playoffs at Texas will be infinitely easier than in the SEC.

Link? There is no such criteria.
