I asked Ramey about it and he said he hasn't been told that

@GoodandBadnews Not that I've heard. Tommy Thigpen said last we he expected him back soon. Did his first on-field work on Friday afternoon.

I watched him Friday at practice and he was still in green but going pretty well. Went full on several of the live periods. After he came to the sideline the Doc talked with him and he said it felt great no problems. Looked like he was fine to me. I was more worried with Lane and Walls.

VN rumor mill at work. Curt is working out and they are easing him into live action. Should he not respond well they can put the RS on him after the first game or two.

Wouldn't blame this on VN though, Doug Matthews himself was the one that said it on the radio, and Barnhart has reportedly said the same thing (though I have not heard that one myself just other posters mentioning it).

per Doug Matthews- rehab has not been 100% successful...I was wondering why we hadn't heard much from him in fall camp

He didn't say that he was going to redshirt. He said HE doesn't think he'll be effective at 80% so he thinks they should redshirt him. Hell, if you listened to rest of it he acted like Maggitt, Vereen, and Jones all would be out for the season. He has no idea what he is talking about.

It really doesn't matter if we redshirt him or not, he is gone after this year every way.

How so? Last I checked he was a Junior and there is no evidence he would be selected high in the NFL draft whether he plays or not. 2ndly, if you redshirted him he would have 2 more years of eligibility.

Your statement makes no sense.

Yeah, I heard it this morning. He was just pulling this stuff out of his ass. I couldn't believe it when I heard it.

He has been non contact and we play in 2 weeks. A redshirt has always been possible, from the physical and mental standpoint. Its common sense.

:ermm: So you read it from a guy on another site who heard it from someone else?

I read it from a Scout insider subscriber, who has been a board member for 11 years and a reliable poster, who posted what he heard Matthews say this morning
