It is time for Vandy's membership in the SEC to come to an end. Can't even buy a hot assistant who does not have deep ties to his current employer. Put the Ole Miss Bears in the East and make the Egg Bowl their traditional rivalry game. Offer TX A&M membership and if they decline immediately offer Missouri.

I just want him to ditch Auburn for something....or someone. They will lose their true "HC" when that happens.

I was looking forward to Gus and Houston Nutt ratcheting up a rivalry between Ole Miss and Vandy. Too bad.

I am not a Vandy fan...but they have a vast tradition in the SEC ......original member ..if I'm not mistaken. He would be great for this Conf and for Vandy!

I like Randy Shannon! Why not! Minority...which is good for recruiting and national media.......but he also did a pretty good job at Miami making them classy. Better than they have ever had!

One very good name........

Rick Stockstill from MTSU!

He has worked for great coaches (Holtz and Visor boy) and played at the highest level (FSU). He has done great things at MTSU and would be an asset to Vandy and the SEC!

Vandy people are not going to allow their school to hire the MTSU coach even if he is the best available option. If Robbie Caldwell had laid off the self depracating good ole boy schtick he probably would've gotten another year.

So go after the HC at Brentwood! he would be a much better fit.

Object is to hire the BEST coach to help your University...... DOOLEY??? Was he UT's 1st choice or 5th choice???

Like I said..I'm not a Vandy fan...but Stockstill has the experience and the recruiting knowledge in the south and TN most importantly! He would be great at Vandy!

Peay, you're going to have to sell John Ingram and David Williams on that one. If they cannot get a splash, they will hire a minority coach.

I know david Williams...great guy...and loves athletics!

They will hire the best coach for their University...

As a complete outsider..Stockstill is they guy!

Vandy needs to hire someone who runs the triple option, or whatever you want to call it.

It's obvious they can't recruit with the SEC, so find lower ranked players that fit that system.
