Man, anyone see the video of the Police/Ryan Moats incident?

I do?

Actually it is because my family and I live the job and you don't.

Continue to hate law enforcement cause some lone officer or officers made you angry one day and you think we are all that way.

:hi:

I certainly appreciate what you do. Some of the other jobs that might be considered more dangerous could be due to human error such as not wearing protective gear properly or being alert whereas a police office might not be able to prevent getting shot in a certain situation.

So where is the stat for the drunk following your wife and kid home and threatening them?

Honestly, you guys actually think that stats actually measure what a law enforcement officer goes through?

:dunno:

Or getting a call from a Federal agency telling you that they are investigating a murder for hire and you're not the one that's being hired.

Statistically speaking, farmers -- with a fatality rate of 41.1 -- are more than twice as likely to die on the job than police officers (18.2) and nearly four times more likely to be killed at work than firefighters (11.5).

I used similar stats with Orange Empire before. It was like hitting your head against a wall, he has such a blind spot when it comes to cops.

Ok thanks. I appreciate your support.

You know, people make me angry all the time at gas stations, work, the DMV, but we're just saying it happens alot more with cops. And you know why? BC some people get a lil bit of authority and they just go apes*** drunk with power. So just bc you don't believe it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I'm sure you're not that way but still, it comes with the territory I guess. Sorry if that offends you.

I have no idea what you just said.

Really, I did not know that I thought that.

Thank you....

:hi:

I'd consider an officer of the law that freely admits to watching pirated property as disturbing and a huge abuse of power and not even mentioning the hypocrisy there.

Also: at work, no less.

You really dug yourself a hole there. It's troubling that you enforce the law, yet like to think you're above it... because who's going to arrest you? Your best friend?

I never had a farmer step in to protect me from the bad guy. But a cop did. I also never told my kids to run to a taxi driver if they were in trouble when they were little.

Nobody said they weren't valuable public servants, the question was, is it the most dangerous profession. Statisticly speaking no.

I've never had an accountant force their way into my home. But I've had cops do it.

I have a friend who got a DUI without being in his car.

Long story short, he pushed the button on the wall for his garage door (at an apartment) and saw a cop outside. He then hit the button for the door to go down. Cop stops door. When second car arrives, cop A tells cop B that the suspect was backing out of the garage, saw him, and pulled back in.

He was drunk but never in the car. He was arrested for DUI. (He actually didn't even have his keys)

Cop shows up in court ready to testify when my friend produced a surveillance video from his complex showing the entire scene.

Lying cop busted, case dismissed.

This kind of crap happens every single day except the defendants usually aren't so lucky.

There are good cops out there but they are vastly outnumbered.

Last year, my withholding got screwed up and upon using TurboTax I realized that I owed money. It sort of felt like an accountant and forced his way into my home.
