Did you see where that tight end us and Ohio State were after chose Ohio State after the spring games. I think looking good in the spring gamenhas an impact.
It had 0 impact, none. Leblanc may end up out West.

This one is NOT over, and that's from Brent, Rob, and Austin.

Geez, you think the Spring Game is the factor. Really? You need to really think about the other parts of the equation to making a decision. At this point a choice is not a choice until it is a choice. Too many other fish in the sea, he may have been told that we are looking elsewhere.

I can guarantee you that spring game performances have nothing to do with whether or not a recruit choses a school. They’re present at the game but important things like, oh I don’t know, coaches, facilities, athletics, depth chart, NIL, proximity to family are probably the deciding factors.

I’ll edit this to allow that environment from the game (crowd/attendance) can help in recruiting if there’s good attendance. Would confirm to the recruit that this is a program with an exciting fan base that’s vested in the program. But on field play likely has no impact. It’s a glorified scrimmage.

We gotta calm down either way here. We watched a glorified partial scrimmage full of walk ons and freshmen. We have almost no idea of what just happened outside of getting to see some individuals make plays here and there ... that's IT!

Our D is much improved. Plus you have to play vanilla in a Spring game. We will be fine.
Be careful making that assumption based off a spring game. Play calling was as basic as it gets and we were down a TON of key players on offense.

I seeing all the positive comments and I hate to be negative but we felt like the offense never was in sync when Milton or Neco was in the game. I was pretty disappointed.
I think things went about as well as it should. Bunch of Freshmen look like football players and they got a lot of exposure. With the Summer work, all will be ready for the Season. They were not going to show anything that will give others much knowledge about what we will do the Fall. If fact, they may not yet know what they will do this Fall. Way too early to make those decisions.

I know it was mostly backups but I expected Milton to obviously have better control of the of the of over a freshman and walkon.

Milton was fine. He was called down on touches when he would’ve easily broken a couple of those for positive gains. He didn’t throw any picks like Moore, and went 9/13. You can’t be much more efficient than that without the normal targets on the field.

Tons of guys were sitting out. Lots of true freshmen played. They’re really talented but very green. Switched QBs in and out. Heupel knows what he’s looking for and at. You NEVER can tell much from a spring game. Way down on my list of things I’m worried about at the moment.
Everyone has deemed Florida as trash from the result of their spring game, but they also say we're in great shape because we played a bunch of freshmen. We're never gonna know what we have until the season starts in September.

So the third string qb should look better with 3rd string recievers since they are both 3rd string?
Joe had backups going against 1’s and 2’s while Moore had 3’s and 4’s going against 3’s and 4’s. Put Moore on Milton’s team and see what results come. Not the same

I saw an abundance of talent; I saw great competition at just about all positions which was what I wanted to see.

Milton completed nine of 13 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.

Iamaleava finished 8-of-16 passing for 112 yards in his first spring game, leading the second-team offense throughout the picturesque afternoon as Tennessee wrapped up spring football.

Moore was solid, completing 8 of 11 passes for 94 yards, two touchdowns and one bad luck interception on well-thrown ball that got broken up and ricocheted to redshirt freshman safety Cameron Miller.

You remember what your O&W Game breakdown was after Heupel’s first? When Harrison Bailey shined with Jack Jancek smoking fools? Hooker throwing pick sixes? Post that if you can find it. 🤔

It’s a CONTROLLED SCRIMMAGE.

It’s a spring game.

The play calling was very vanilla & simple.

It’s nothing more than a chance for the fans to come out and watch their team before fall hits.

I do I also remember Hooker being the backup and only getting in because of a Milton injury.

And you remember Milton’s PERFORMANCE before the injury? Nothing’s cemented and worrying about what you THINK you see in Spring is guaranteed to fail your thinking process. Coaches aren’t worried about what experienced players do in a controlled scrimmage. They’re looking at new players or working combinations. The real work gets done in Fall Camp. They haven’t even installed the options they’ll have with Seldon and not unveil most this year. They play the long game.
