The fact we actually have fans freaking out over this is astonishing
I don't think freaking out is the right word. Basically I saw Georgia put up 50 points against the best defense in college. Do I think thart was real or meant anything? Not at all. My point is 60000 people showed up to see the best offense in college and it wasn't as much eye candy as I expected.

I didn’t get a chance to watch the game. When I saw the score I was very disappointed. But then I watched the game and found out that basically none of the main WRs were playing and a lot of the starting OL were out. There is absolutely nothing to take from this game. JG used to look like a rockstar during spring games. I remember Dobbs looking pedestrian during the spring game.

If you are worried or disappointed by what you saw then you need help.

I remember one year that Bray was like 9 of 27 or something crazy like that. No indication of his talent of the teams success. Went on to blow out NCSt in the 1st game in Atlanta.

When you are missing every single starter at RB and WR what do you expect?

Remember when Quinten Dormady had a great Spring game and we all thought he was going to be the next great TN QB?

Spring games don't mean anything. It's just a scrimmage for fans.

I seeing all the positive comments and I hate to be negative but we felt like the offense never was in sync when Milton or Neco was in the game. I was pretty disappointed.

Stop it. I had to look up who half the players were because we had so many guys out for the game. I saw both Milton and Nico make some really good throws. This is a 1/2 to 3/4 effort exhibition mainly for the benefit of the fans. Come on man.

Take it all in context, the top 5 WRs weren't out there. Several dropped passes today by the replacements. Also, a touch means a sack so there isn't that scramble while someone gets open factor.

Also, some young guns stepped a bit on defense.

Literally? I saw Milton play.
Me too. He's stuck around, pulled for Hooker and the team. I hope he has huge success. I'm going to pull for him but I thought he had the least success of the 3 and I thought he would be the standout qb.

Do you think not having a single one of his starting wide receivers or running backs in the game may have had something to do with that?

Pretty typical spring game. Don't show anything. Don't play your proven players to keep them from getting injured. Stretch the young guys to see who performs when the lights come on.

The D was more about seeing who can help and it looks like quite a few guys can.

You have to watch closely and see if you can tell what the coaches are trying to accomplish with each. Possible if not likely that the D was more restricted with Nico than with Milton.

OTOH, versus the ones Milton was 6 of 9 for 59 yds and a TD. Nico was 2 of 6 for 21. Moore was 3 of 4 for 53 and a TD but threw a pick. They were all pretty good against the 2's and walk ons.

We literally didn’t have a single starting skill player play in the scrimmage yesterday. RB’s and WR’s combined.

Nico is an 18 year old kid, who should be going to prom sometime this month, but instead is learning an SEC offensive system at the moment as a freshman in college. All the while 2,000 miles away from home. Let’s pump the brakes on the expectations a bit.

They both actually made a lot of good plays, sustained drives and helped young players get in the groove and build confidence yesterday. There was a lot of good that happened in that hour.

Looking at who didn’t play on offense, it’s hard to expect it to look amazing to be honest lol.

I doubt we’ll have many exciting Spring games with CJH. He’s a mastermind and doesn’t like to show his hand. So vanilla plays in spring but the trade is epic offense in fall. Which I’m super happy with.

So the third string qb should look better with 3rd string recievers since they are both 3rd string?
Why are you wasting time arguing about a meaningless spring game with a bunch of reserves and walk ons getting a lot of playing time and a huge number of starters sitting out? It’s something to do on a nice day and a chance to see Nico for the first time. Nothing more than that. If Milton doesn’t handle business in the first few games, then it would be time to be concerned and we’ll all be talking about it.

Too 2 RB’s and top 4 WR’s not playing and you expected offensive fireworks? Good grief.

Seriously? You expected us to ball out in a glorified scrimmage? This was a football practice for them. We were down several starters and calling the same plays over and over just to get some guys some reps in front of a crowd.
