I have to admit the trailers have come a long way from the initial teaser last summer. I'm still not thrilled with the dark tone of the film. It just doesn't seem like Superman to me.

I'm also not a huge fan of Zod. I loved Superman II but his inconsistent portrayals in comics since that movie have soured me on the character. Would much rather have seen Metallo or Brainiac.

Seeing the trailer on the big screen before Iron Man 3 was breathtaking. I even heard a couple of gasps and claps when it ended! We still have yet to know if the guy can pull of Clark/Superman but the supporting cast is full of solid to great actors & actresses! Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Jonathan and Martha Kent. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne & Russell Crow.

Am I the only person who would love to see this made into a trilogy that ends with All Star Superman?

2nd Movie has the extremely famous World of Cardboard speech somewhere, and the third has him become mortal and die at the end saving the world just like in All Star, with some Lex Luthor + Braniac + Solaris mix ups.

I would support that if the characters were limited to the major members. I don't want to see Martian Manhunter or Hawkman's gay *** on TV every week.

The fact you don't know martian manhunter is one of the core founders of the Justice League tells me you probably shouldn't be saying who does or doesn't need to be involved character wise.

I'm well aware. That doesn't mean that I have to like him as a character or that he is a main character. Outside of us nerds, most have never heard of him.

And the fact that you were offended by it is both sad and disappointing.

Is Superman going to punch Faora or likely to recieve to much backlash so it won't be allowed?

This looks like it'll have the best action for a Superman movie.

As of now JL is planned as a movie with a 2015 release date (same as Avengers 2).

And both J'onn J'onz and Carter Hall should be part of it.

I wasn't offended at all, I was simply pointing out that you were being hypocritical and ignorant by saying "If they stick to major members" and then saying "but not that major member."

Instead say, "I don't like him."

Much simpler, clearer, and, doesn't making you sound nearly as dumb to people who ARE nerds (which you are as you claim.)

That's like saying "If they make a show about the Civil war I'll watch it only if they have all the generals who were important, except Stonewall Jackson, because I don't like him despite what my previous statement just said."

I'll admit I'm not particularly versed in Hawkman lore. However, I know Carter Hall is the original Hawkman that has served with both the JSA and JLA.

I don't think that was getting lucky as it was the right move that was successful while Singer directing Superman Returns clearly was not.
Like a Pro Sports team they are going to make bad decisions, and good decisions.

Zod uses his heat vision the damage is detrimental, and looks topnotch.
What does Jor El mean when he says to Zod he's meaning Kal El aka Clark Kent-Superman twice the man you are?

I'm amazed of this is unoriginal, it's a remake comments.
So it's retelling the origin of Superman doesn't mean this is a repeat of Superman the Movie.
Also remake Zod is getting used it's not going to tell the exact same story of Superman 2.

Captain America The First Avenger
They reused the Red Skull but unlike the abomination Captain America they got it right, story that is vastly superior, and it's quality is equal to Batman Begins.

The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises
They reused Two Face, Bane, but unlike the embarassment Batman Forever, and the abomination Batman and Robin they got the characters right, stories and movies are vastly superior and APlus quality.

Clearly shows just because you reuse a Super Villain doesn't mean it's going to be a repeat the story and how they were portrayed before.
