I believe the point of both shows is to educated
Both do,they just go about it in different fashions.
Because bear is presented with problems to over come
and afforded the safety net of camera crews and other
safety experts.He can take more chances.Expand
our knowledge of how to survive a myriad of life
threatening situations.

With Les it's more like a camp out and a refresher course
from the boy scouts.

thing is i was a huge bear fan until this. so i went back to the original ole Les, but he ended that series this past year

I've watched way more Bear than Les but my money is on Bear. While he may have a crew to help if needed and may fly to a hotel at night, he still knows what he's doing in the wild. I've seen Les go for 2 or 3 days with no food at all. I guess he's too good to eat the crap Bear does. He may eat it, but I just haven't seen it.
