Nico didn't beat Florida....the DEFENSE did.

Any of the Florida teams that Manning played against would’ve beat the Vols this past Saturday while resting their 1st string the entire second half. Those teams were coached by Spurrier and their DC’s back then were legit. The argument that Nico beat Florida but Manning never did is an apples to oranges argument. Never mind the fact that Sampson was the hero Saturday, Nico was NOT.

Some years ago I went back and watched those two games as well as the ‘95 game. He seemed to play much different against them. Almost nervous. I noticed he shuffled his feet much more in those games and was in a hurry to get rid of the ball each time he dropped back.

Spurrier 90s teams would have kicked our teeth in last Saturday. Spurrier was a guru in his prime. The only thing nastier in the 90s than FL was Nebraska. Roster full of straight psychopaths.

Manning did not run very often, but when he did, the surprise was so great he often just walked in for a score.

We had a better roster overall than Florida in those years, but their's was still loaded

Nico didn’t beat UF. Clausen didn’t beat UF. Dobbs didn’t beat UF. Hooker didn’t beat UF. Stop being dumb. Also let’s be real. Those UF teams under Spurrier were VASTLY superior on both sides of the ball than any UF team besides the Meyer led gators.
