Manti Te'o's Dead girlfriend never existed?

Dear mr. Te'o sir, my name king naarfar son of prince in about kenya nairobi. Please at your honor send $500,000 to email for business.

"the most beautiful girl I have ever met", was how he described her.

I kindof liked the guy, albeit mainly from the national portraits being portrayed. He's been lying his ass off, and when he mentions the support for him and his girlfriends family, he is playing the game. What a sick punk

I know you're full of s*** cause I got the real email from the Princess of Kenya and that's not the King's name.

Just two weeks ago, my friend said "I met a girl online. No one on this earth has gotten me like her" and this was in a six hour conversation. Welcome to 2013.

Also, you are making assumptions. I don't know if he's guilty or not, but the fact that Notre Dame is going to bat for him says something, at least to me.

I mean let's be real about for a minute. Your telling me that this All-American football player at Notre Dame has been in a relationship for 3 years with a girl he has never seen? So essentially he's been sex-less for 3 years while surrounded by plenty of hot girls who are more than willing, especially given his stature. People need to think about this logically.

*I'm aware this is fairly blunt but I felt it was a valid point. Apologies Mods if this is out of line

This thread is way too long for me to catch up. I just want to toss in my two cents.
If you're THE BMOC at Notre Dame, why are you meeting women online? That's all I have to say about how believable his story is to me right now.

Nothing wrong with meeting a girl online and falling in love.

It is a whole nothing thing to be "catfished" for three years when you are the biggest man on campus.

So let us know if your friend doesn't ever meet her in person for a couple of years and lies about aspects of the relationship. That way we know we have another whacko around.
And yes, I am making assumptions, as every one of us is. ND going to bat means nothing. The university covering up for a heisman hopeful that won the hearts of non ND fans around the country doesn't surprise me at all.
You think they would back him if he came out that he was gay? Hell no. They'd try a different route.

You mean the same institution that covered up a certain death that you have been fond of mentioning recently? ND is all about appearance. Te'o's publicity this year made him their face/figurehead/what have you. This story will mar that face, hence the attempted cover-up. That's why the press conference seemed so awkward and uncomfortable, the media articles did in fact catch them off guard and they had to scramble for damage control. They had to call a rushed press conference with the goal of painting Te'o as the victim, to save face. Believing him or not had nothing to do with them "going to bat for him." IMHO :hi:
