Looks like Georgia will hire Kirby Smart. The Atlanta Urinal Constipation said that Kirby Smart was the man that Georgia wanted for the Football Head Coaching job.

And I was simply saying "I take it as a good sign". You can take it how you want. Coach Jones may turn out to be a "truly terrible coach". I have hope he will be a good coach. I prefer wine over vinegar.

Not in order, I see UF, OSU, Alabubba, FSU (why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the ACC), SCw, ND, OU, UTjr, Michigan, and TN as surely better jobs (historically and budget wise)...Miami should be (talent rich area)...LSU, Stanford, Oregon and maybe OkSt folks could make a good argument that they are better jobs than UGA.

Then you have Clemson, Auburn, Penn St...maybe UGA fits in with these as a top 15-20 job.

All just IMO...

TN Leads the All time Series against UGA iirc. Whoever said that does not pay attention to head to head match ups very well.

Other than the fact that he played college ball at Georgia, and Alabama's defense is good, why do people think Kirby Smart would be any better than Richt there?

How good of a recruiter is Smart? Can he coach the other side of the ball? I know Bama's defense is good, but how much control does he really have over it? I've heard Smart described as a button-pusher and not the guy that builds the machine (obviously, that's Saban).

Be careful what you wish for, Dawgs, because you just got it.

I have to admit that I had to google the guy to know who he was so that I could support him 100%, and i did.

my following of the NFL had fallen off years before that.
