Whoever at UGA agreed to that UF game being played in Jacksonville every season should be fired also --- giving UF a home game every season was totally stupid

The tickets are split up evenly, 50/50. I agree though that it still must feel like a home game for the Gators though.

The stadium is split down the middle and it always gets major TV attention. Also consider you never have to play in the Swamp.

The poor guy is probably dead. It's been played in Jax since 1933 (save '94 and '95 when the Gator Bowl was being renovated).

I still would rather have the actual home and home stadiums -- the hostile crowd helps in most cases -- CBS picks the UF and Georgia game no matter where its played just like the Iron Bowl

Sorry if old news but not reading this entire thread. My uga buddies are all over this rumor about richt staying on as an assistant ad and player liason. Kirby in as hc with Pruitt as dc. Supposedly ever the qb recruit knows about it.

I seen an insider post on their site that said Pruitt was gone.

I hate that they fired Richt. Seems like Tennessee always has a chance against him no matter what kind of team Tennessee fields. Everybody is talking about how they are making the same mistake Tennessee did. Nobody seems to ever go through what Tennessee has no matter how many times they fire a coach. Georgia will probably get somebody good and then all their hype will bring in recruits and be better off.

If Butch doesn't get Tennessee in the championship game in the next three years he needs to go. All these coaches sitting around for years not winning championships are days of the past.

Nah, you just see it that way because you're a Tennessee fan. Even the best programs go through their Kiffin and Dooley years. Alabama had Mike Dubose followed by a 2 year stint from Dennis Franchione and then the Mike Price strip club fiasco before Mike Shula.... LSU had Curly Hallman and Gerry DiNardo... Georgia had Ray Goff and Jim Donnan.

I agree Big time! I've noticed that alot of fans judge Fulmer by his 05 & 08 season. The numbers don't lie, when you look at Fulmers statics. IMO If Fulmer would have stayed sharp on his recruiting like he was early in his career he would probably been here a lot longer than he was. I know Butch has shown he can recruit at a high level. But I remember Fulmers earlier years, as being one of the best recruiters in the game. I remember hearing some of the coaches talking about The Blind Side movie, saying it was really like that when Fulmer showed up to recruit a kid, Most of the time if he really wanted a kid he would get them. It was like ,ooh crap there's Fulmer! We might as well go home. Lol!

Call me crazy but I bet they get Jimbo Fisher, it's pretty widely known he would like to leave the Tallahassee area fr multiple reasons. Pretty sure LSU was his plan A but I bet Georgia isn't a bad plan B.

If Smart was head coach material, he would have gotten a job 5 years ago when his name started popping up on every candidate list for an open HC job. The fact that he's still a Saban lacky tells me all I need to know.

I'm thinking Georgia's football program will slip under Kirby Smart and Tennessee among other teams will raid Georgia for players with impunity. I think Kirby Smart will be a huge disappointment to Georgia and it's fans because he was just a button pusher at Alabama where Saban ran the defense and not him.

Smart has been working for Saban for a long time. They've always been real tight. It has nothing to do with him not being able to land a head coaching job somewhere.
