Marlon Brown

Sorry to bust everyone's bubble..... A couple of Bammers have mentioned that CNS already has Brown in his sights..... Now I guess we don't have a chance.

Here's a small tidbit...

"Seriously, guys, I know ya'll have had some down years in recruiting and, as of last year (especially this year), our recruiting is great. There's really no need of UT bothering either Marlon Brown or Eric Gordon. CNS is already on them."

Seriously, did Bama just win the NC? You'd think so since they all appear to be coming out of hiding lately....

CNS will have another 7-6 season and his recruits will no longer pay attention to him. Your name can only take you so far in this game. Those lying eyes give you away CNS.

If Fulmer loses this recruit then there definately needs to be changes up top. This kid is our's to lose and i can't see him going anywhere else.

do you guys consider Marlon Brown to be the "must get" prospect on the entire recruiting board for next year?
Is he as good as advertised?

You didn't give me credit for my words in your post. That was an obvious troll post. Don't be so easy.

Seriously, why do you care what I think? Who am I anyway? If Brown grew up a Vol fan and your coaching staff does its job, how can you lose him to us?

We need to do everything we can to get this kid, he's going to be a big time player.

After reading this article and hearing all of the hype, we have to get this guy. He's the best prospect from our state and we must have him. I wish all of the volnation posters could get his mailing address and each send him a letter telling him how much we want him to be a Vol. Is that legal and if it is why doesn't someone get his address and let's all send him a letter. If he got 1000 letters from us fans, I think it would push him to Tennessee.

Did a "Marlon Brown Memphis" search and came across his myspace. Already has some hot blonde from South Bend all over his comments talking about how awesome Notre Dame is and how good looking he is...maybe we better act fast.

IMO, USC & ND are going to be the biggest competition.

I agree, we really need to push hard and act fast for this kid, he seems like he can be a great one. If he remains as serious about basketball as he is right now we should hold an upper hand against those two schools. From everything that I've read he's more into basketball than football.

If he is choosing a school based on a hot girl then I am not sure I like his mental make-up to be a big time football player.

Not saying he would be making a decision based on that, I'm simply pointing out that ND fans are already making an attempt to reach out to him and get his attention in any way that they can. He's young, 16 in fact, an older good looking girl can do a lot make a 16 year old think.

pj, you seemed to approve of a prior post about how the early commits at DT were in-state kids. I'm wondering if by that logic we have to assume that since Brown (an in-state kid who grew up a UTK fan) has not comitted to the Vols early, it means that UTK cannot be considered a front runner for his services?

Not sure what post you're referencing but I just think it's much easier for an in-state kid to commit early. Bit of a stretch to say that it means anything when they don't. TBH, I don't know enough about Brown and have not looked at his comments (besides knowing who he is).

I think many of the early commits really make it hard on themselves in the future. Pick your teams, make your visits and make an informed decision.
