Marlon Brown

Can't blame him. Why wouldn't you take a look at the defending national champions?

If I were as highly coveted as he is, I'd visit USC, LSU, Florida, Ohio St., and any other perennial top 5-10 programs I could make the trip to.

Yeah...no big shocker there. He had every intention of taking a look there. Unless one of his visits blows him away, I think its a UT/USC battle down to the wire.

I sure hope it is a UT/USC battle. As long as he doesn't end up somewhere else in the SEC, I won't be too disappointed.

from what I understand he and Nunes are planning on making their offical visits to the Hill on the same date. that great news for us if they've made a connection.

I heard that too. If he does decide to come here, we may be thanking Nunes for it.

Marlon Brown and David Oku are both scheduled to take an official visit to the UT vs. UF game on Sept. 20. The way I understand, it will be both of their first officials. As long as it is a close game like 2004 and 2006, I think this is definitely a plus.

They probably won't go to a better game all year. Add in the atmosphere of the game and you can call them locks.:)

Jeron Stokes went down a little but is still a four star. Logan Thomas moved up to a five star. Let's get that dude.

i hope we can get him.....stokes could rise if he has a good season and i dont see marlon being a 5* again

The reason for his fall is that he will likely end up at UT, forcing the Rivals guys to drop him in the rankings.

Here is an great example of "what do the stars really mean"? It's the same kid....if the rating services were wrong saying that he was a 5*, can't they also be wrong in saying that he is a 4*, or then a 3*? Maybe he really is a 5*....What really goes into this evaluation? Who's looking at the kid...? I do know that all this stuff does sell ads...I believe that I will go with what the experienced coaches think about how a kid fits into their systems, and with their staff and players.:good!:

or its because he does not play against good high school competion.

?! they haven't even started the season...he's been at all-star camps this summer...why would they drop him now for competition that he will be playing against in the future? they new what district he played in when they ranked him a 5*.
