I think the important thing is, even though WR is not a huge need, is that we need to send a message that we can get the big time in state talent...especially one that is rated so high nationally. (ie. Patrick Turner).
If any of you have ever been to USC's campus, it is absolutely beautiful. If they can bring in a kid for a visit that has never seen anything like that, then it will leave a HUGE impression on a kid.
He said he really enjoyed watching Tennessee as a kid. He has only visited USC and UT so far and I believe that's who it will come down to. I think we need a big year on the field to pull him in, he wants to play in the limelight. Hopefully Nunes calls him a lot.
good news...glad he got rid of stanford. looks like its between us and USC....if we are going to return to elite status we have to be able to win recruiting battles with the heavyweights. even moreso with the cream of the in state crop Posted via VolNation Mobile
The UT/UF game is shaping up to be a monster day for official visitors. Hopefully the atmosphere will be electric before, during, and after the Vols' win.
I am bringing my fiance to the UT-FL game. This will be her first UT game ever. I hope we win and she has a great time. I wanted her to see how awesome the atmosphere is.
I hope the recruits see how awesome it is as well.
The News Sentinels top prospect in the state has cut his list of college suitors to six schools: Tennessee, Southern Cal, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida and LSU.
That means UCLA, Stanford, Notre Dame and Oklahoma are out of the mix.
I am about 70% sure that Marlon Brown ends up at UT unless something drastic happens. He grew up a Vol fan. He loves UT and that means alot. His family also has a strong desire for him to stay close to home so they can travel to the games.
Per Rivals, Brown has decided to make a visit to LSU, probably the Ole Miss game. He said it would be an unofficial visit. He won't make it one of his official visits because he said he and his family could just make a drive down there on a Friday.
