Marlon Brown

I'd still take a slow guy at 6'5" for the red zone match up problems he would create. We simply need a threat like that inside the red zone, could have used him against Florida (although I doubt our coaching staffs ability to have used him effectively).

Don't take me wrong...He is a good player. his height is a great asset (Greg Carr at FSU), but he his not the best wr in the country. Sorry. He could help, but he is not a Percy Harvin or a game breaker. I hope UT gets him. they need to start getting the "best" in state recruits. they have not done so in the past.

You take Brown and find a recruit with 4/3 speed (and decent hands) and add them to what we have and you've got a corp that is top notch and as good as any in the country. You'd basically have the threat for all situations.

If he's 6'5 he add some weight and move to TE.

He would certainly be a guy you could move around in situations to get the best match up on the defense. At 6'5" it's kind of hard for anyone to defend you if you have a QB who can put the ball in the right place.

Ughhhh. as you said, can the coaches use him correctly? Warren is that guy, but he is not used. B Warren should be the focal point of the offence (passing):cray:
sorry...that was for KB5252

What is his listed height?

I think we did a better job of getting the ball to Saturday. I agree he needs to play a bigger role.

Something else just occurred to me. With Stocker's (sp?) size and Warren's ability if you were to add Brown in that mix with a true speed guy we could be pretty scary with a good QB.

I would love to get Marlon Brown Regardless..
i dont care if you think he is slow in pads

this guy is a talent..

and who do u think u are a scout.... all the real talent observers have marlon in the top 60 in all the ratings.... he is a talent and will be a playmaker if he signs here

"It was a downer just because the coaches and the players were kind of down after the game, but as far as my recruitment I'm not going to let one game affect how I look at things," Brown said. "Tennessee's always been one of the schools that recruiting me the hardest, so I know what their program is about."

says early on that the Vols were the only team to recruit him seriously for basketball as well as football.

"I know they would have rather have won, nobody likes to lose, but it was still a great trip for me."

also went on to state that Tennessee will be his last official visit. He's headed to UGA next. All in all it sounds very positive for us.

Well evidently we are fading with Brown. With Georgia, LSU, and Florida as major players.

I could see him going to UGA. I hope he goes there and all of the fans saying how good he is sees it how long it takes for him to get onto the field and do anything. I would love for him to come here, I just think it will be 2-3 years before he does anything of significance.

You don't know me....I might be a scout! Have you seen him play??? I have many times. He is not a top 60 player in the country based on my opinion. He is very good, but not a game breaker. UT has MANY very good players, no game breakers. If he does not come to UT, fine! TOO SLOW!

Marlon loved his UGA visit but says he will wait until after the Under Armor game to announce. He will visit tOSU 10/11.

Scout$--Dawgs High On Marlon Brown's List After Visit

Marlon again praises the atmosphere at Georgia and says he has a top five of LSU, UGA, Tennessee, Florida and Ohio State.

I don't see this one ending well unless we get some type of production out of the QB position.

seen him play multiple times. He plays against the most unathletic kids.

So you think he's overrrated. thats fair. By how can you possibly say the most overrated in the entire nation? Have you seen all the top rated players? Let me answer that for you. No.
