Very reliable source just told me that Marlon got caught with drugs recently. I hope this kid gets his head on straight.

They wouldn't do anything to him at that place anyway even if he did. He's probably their pride and joy for now and they'd let it slip. Just a slap on the hand and they send him off to college.

I'm very good friends with Marlon and that's absolutely false. Nothin like makin up rumors about kids. Grow up..let him go to GA and get over yourself.

I can't wait for the day when somebody posts a rumor that is actually true and everybody bashes him for days until they end up eating crow. If the guy heard it from a reliable source then there's no problem posting it. OTOH, if you do decide to post something like that you should probably prepare for quite the backlash.

Just talked to a coach of his and he backed up Cascade.

I wonder if this rumor was spawned by the fact that he sat out of a basketball game or two and missed about a week of school due to an illness. There was even an article in the Commercial Appeal that mentioned this and it was evident to those who watched him in the region finals that he had been pretty sick.

Makes sense if he was ill. Sounds like a bunch of people contriving a story that matched the events surrounding MB. I doubt it is sour grapes, but it's surely ignorant to work up a story that could damage a kids perfectly good reputation.

That is to say whomever it was that started this ugly rumor. Not bdarnell who was merely posting what he thought to be credible info.

Haha, oh well. I heard it from someone in the 08 class who played basketball with him last year. He is good friends with Marlon, and I got a lot of information from him during Marlon's recruitment. To say I was pulling this out of my ass just to for the hell of it is absolutely ridiculous. A reliable source told me some big news, and I shared it on the board. I expected some negative feedback, but this is completely ignorant.

I'd like to know who in the '08 class said that..Seeing as how I played basketball with Marlon and anyone who would have been in the '08 class.
