Quite a backlash is right! Check page 111 of this thread, post #1660 (i believe) when I broke the story about Marlon's Grandma & Coach O. It wasn't until after his announcement that the rumor was confirmed and then became a national story.

I'm just a fan like anybody else who happened to hear something from a credible source and I got slammed for it. So, we shouldn't be so quick to judge information......I guess......maybe not though.........I wouldn't have believed myself either.

The reason you would know is because you know the person.. although alcohol is a 'drug', everyone obviously gets the point.

It wasn't on his facebook. It was on a girl from UTs. He was at a party with a couple other football players on his official. They've been posted on the board already and taken down.

And I'm saying that there's a pretty good chance that if your partying and drinking underage you've been around weed some. I'm not claiming to know that he goes and gets lit up every weekend or anything, but I'm saying that based on what we know, its a fairly easy assumption to make.

I mean, I don't care one way or another, I know that probably over half of our own team smokes pot, but I'm just saying.

If he doesn't, good for him, but based on what we know,it wasn't a reach to think it was.

I don't know what YOU know, but I'll tell you what I know. I hang out with Marlon quite often in the summers and the majority of weekends I'm in town. He refers to my mother as his "white mamma." I didn't go to Knox with him on his visit but I've talked to him and the guy who did. I haven't seen the photos so I won't comment on that. The kid didn't get caught with drugs. Didn't happen. So don't tell me "based on what we know."

They WERE here for the state championship game, they actually practiced at our gym most of the time and then Marlon Brown sat behind me at our game

Things happen. Sometimes you go to a party, have a few jello shots, dance with some white girls, and people end up hearing you did some drugs a month later. Happens all the time.
